WHAT IS A CORE?
A "Core" is widely recognized as the essence of an Aberration, as they are devoid of a soul and the core resides within its corporeal corrupted form. Each Aberration possesses a unique crystalline core, a tangible object mirroring its unnatural existence, marked by glowing rings indicating power tiers connected to its level. Aberration levels are intricately tied to visible rings on the core. A single ring denotes a Level one aberration. The levels remain unknown until after the aberration's defeat in character, as the core is a tangible object lying within the creature and is retrieved upon its death, revealing its core and rings.
These Cores are highly coveted as exceptionally rare artifacts with unique properties. They can only be obtained by defeating an aberration in roleplay. The possessor gains not inherent power but rather the ability to create powerful and formidable unique items using the core. Additionally, they have the potential to turn it into wealth by selling it to the right buyer. Owning a core also grants bragging rights, signifying victory over an aberration. WHAT IS THE ONE-USE NATURE OF A CORE?
A Core is a single-use item; any attempts to alter it, such as cutting it into pieces to share among multiple users, will render it non-functional or irreparably break it. Once the core absorbs corruption or completes its one-time use, it transforms into a common rock state. If shattered, only black dust remains. Irreversibly transformed, a dead core cannot be revived, nor can it bring back the life of one who has become an aberration.

HOW DO ABERRATION LEVELS RELATE TO CORES?
Aberration Levels range from 1 to 10, each marked by distinctive rings encircling their cores, representing different tiers of magical prowess and combat difficulty.
WHAT ARE THE PROPERTIES OF CORES FROM LEVELS 1 TO 5?
Cores from levels 1 to 5 are not ideal for creating powerful magical items. They excel in treating corruption and aiding in controlling supernatural powers within oneself, albeit with weaker abilities and susceptibility to breakage. Additionally, they can also heal various sicknesses and physical disabilities.
WHAT POWERS DO CORES FROM LEVELS 6 TO 9 POSSESS?
Cores from levels 6 to 9 possess greater strength, capable of crafting more potent magical items, causing natural disasters, resurrecting the deceased, and enhancing magical abilities.
WHAT ABOUT LEVEL 10 CORES?
Level 10 cores possess unspeakable and unknown powers, introduced exclusively during owner-approved sim-wide events managed by staff to ensure controlled and balanced gameplay. These events, orchestrated by staff, dynamically alter power structures with no hints or teasers about their abilities. Inquiries about Level 10 Cores remain unanswered, and rumors may circulate about their powers and those of higher cores through out the community. However, globally, only a handful of Level 10 cores have ever been found, with none higher being undeniably proven. Retrieving any level of core is possible only through roleplay with our Dungeon Masters, not through background stories. Players will learn more about these formidable powers only when they encounter them.
HOW CAN CORES BE TRANSFORMED INTO MAGICAL ITEMS?
Cores can undergo a transformation into magical items through a specialized process known as Core Crafting. This process involves channeling the inherent magical energy within the core and combining it with other mystical components to shape and enchant the desired item. The level of the core enhances both the detail and strength of the resulting magical item. It's important to note that the crafted item has a one-time use before it breaks. The levels of the cores play a crucial role in shaping the capabilities of the magical item.
ARE THERE SPECIFIC GUIDELINES FOR CRAFTING DIFFERENT TYPES OF MAGICAL ITEMS FROM CORES?
Yes, crafting guidelines are indeed influenced by the level of the core being used. To delve a bit deeper, Cores from levels 1 to 5 are ideal for creating items with abilities related to purification and limited magical enhancement. For instance, one could unlock powers within oneself or discover latent abilities in others, drawing parallels to transformative journeys in characters like Goku, who evolves into Super Saiyan in Dragon Ball Z, or Harry Potter progressing from a relatively powerless wizard to a formidable one in the named series. In the case of levels 1 to 5, the ability to transform, as mentioned in these examples, is achievable within seconds if done correctly through Core Crafting. This process unlocks or enhances powers within oneself. It's important to note that combat rules do not change due to these new abilities. Levels 6 to 9 cores enable the creation of more potent magical items, ranging from powerful artifacts to items capable of influencing nature and life, as discussed previously, including the abilities of levels 1-5. Level 10 cores, with their mysterious and unparalleled powers, are only speculated to have no predefined guidelines, allowing for unparalleled creativity in crafting, as widely believed globally. However, it's essential to note that this speculation may prove to be untrue
CAN ANYONE PERFORM CORE CRAFTING, OR IS SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED?
Core Crafting requires a fundamental understanding of magical arts. Only individuals with the knowledge and skills in magic or magitech can successfully undertake this process. It is not a task for the inexperienced; consider seeking roleplay with those who can offer guidance in crafting your desired magical item.
HOW DOES THE CORE CURE CORRUPTION?
All cores, regardless of their level, have the ability to cure corruption in individuals who have not yet transformed into an Aberration. There is a critical 48-hour window after the infiltration of corruption from a bite before the individual undergoes a transformation into an Aberration (perma death). Core Crafting is not necessary for this process, and it is 100% effective. To cure corruption, simply place the core onto the player's chest, and the corruption within will be drawn into the core, attempting to regain its essence. Due to a core's single-use nature, when the corrupted essence rejoins the core, it will break, as it has been reutilized by corruption, and the corruption that seeped into the core will permanently cease to exist.
WHAT IF AN ATTEMPT OF A PARTIAL CURE IS MADE?
The corruption will still be drawn out of the body, latching onto the core and not letting go until all is removed. However, if the core is remove from the player's chest during an attempt to cure them, it will leave them in critical condition. They can recover from this state, but without some kind of medical help, they will be extremely weak for a minimum of 4 days, and the duration could extend depending on the individual.
