PLAYERS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO JOIN A SOCIAL PARTY, BUT THEY HAVE THE OPTION TO JOIN, SWITCH, OR LEAVE THEM AT ANY TIME!
THESE ARE OPTIONAL VIEWS PLAYERS CAN CHOOSE TO ALIGN WITH.
(Possible Connections are not assumed and would require RP should players desire one)
City Dwellers
The City Dwellers may not wield great power or influence individually, but collectively, they are vital to the city's survival and prosperity. They are the lifeblood of Howling Hills, keeping it running smoothly, upholding its culture, and providing much-needed stability in a world where the line between the mundane and magical is often blurred. Their collective will and resilience help maintain the delicate balance between the ordinary and the extraordinary, ensuring that life in the city thrives, no matter the challenges. Often wary of outsiders, particularly those who misuse magic or pose a threat to the peaceful existence within the Veil. Their strong connections to the heart of the city, its businesses, and its residents make them key players in maintaining the harmony and order that defines Main City.
Possible Connections: RDA, Citizen's Watch, and other aligned groups that may form in the City.
Goals:
City Dwellers are staunch advocates for the rights and well-being of all citizens, ensuring that everyone, regardless of race, has a place to call home as long as they respect the laws and the safe practice of magic.
Advocating for the responsible use of magic within the community. The City Dwellers work to educate residents on the ethical and safe practices of magic, ensuring that it is used for the benefit of all, rather than for personal gain or harm.
Serve as a stabilizing force within Howling Hills, particularly in times of crisis or uncertainty. The City Dwellers focus on maintaining order, enforcing local laws, and preventing chaos that could arise from magical disturbances or external threats.
Outlander
Individuals who have rejected the constraints of society and the suffocating lifestyle within the Veil. Struggling to adapt to the world's transformation, they yearn for the freedom and adventure of the outside world. These free spirits often retreat to the forests, the underwater, and the farthest reaches within the Veil, where they can embrace a more liberated and untethered way of life. Living closer to nature and far from the confines of urban existence. It is said that they often risk venturing outside of the Veil for a solution to someday see an end to the need of the Veils themselves. Because of this, they are seen as a danger by the Mainland Faction for risking Corruption.
Possible Connections: Packs, Shoals, Sithens, and various other wild natured groups that popup in the City Outskirts.
Goals:
Safeguard the natural environments within and outside the Veil, ensuring that their sanctuaries remain untouched by urban expansion and corruption.
Regularly venturing outside the Veil to discover new areas, resources, and potential solutions that could help eliminate the need for the Veils, allowing the world to return to its natural state.
Promote Self-Sufficiency: Develop and share sustainable living practices that allow members to thrive independently of the Veil's resources, reinforcing their autonomy and resilience.
Underground
The Underground is home to those who operate outside the law, thriving in the shadows of society. Whether driven by necessity or choice, these individuals navigate the darker corners of the world—places like the slums, graveyards, and red-light districts—where conventional rules hold little sway. The Underground is a haven for criminals, outcasts, and those who prefer to live on the fringes of society. They embrace a life defined by risk, secrecy, and survival outside the reach of authority. They often feel that the Veiled cities should be ruled by the people, not the RDA or the Governing Laws that oversee the Veils.
Possible Connections: Havoc & Doom - It wouldn’t be uncommon for members of the Underground to work with the Doom or Havoc organizations.
Goals:
Establishing dominance over the black markets, red-light districts, and other illicit operations within the Veiled cities. By controlling these areas, the Underground gains power, influence, and resources to further their cause.
Forging stronger connections with Havoc, Doom, and other like-minded organizations. By forming alliances, the Underground can expand its reach, share resources, and increase its ability to challenge the existing power structures.
