Confidante (Consultant outside of the Order)
Confidantes are consultants and trusted outsiders that work with The Order. These are players who are interested in helping to provide content for members of the faction/players and are great at offering guidance. Consultants cannot issue commands, and have no real ‘power’ over those in the faction but should be looked at ICly as someone who is favored by the chain of command.
Paladin (Initiate / Oathsworn)
Recruits of The Order. They have taken the oath of silence and loyalty. During their time as a Paladin. One might find their calling or passion toward becoming a Warden, Whisper, or Alchemist.
Alchemist (Researchers, analysts, and Corruption Specialists)
Researchers and analysts of the Order go out and investigate artifacts and incidents that threaten the Veil. They are also responsible for research and development of ‘The Cure’. They are also our Medics. May go out and scout for potential members.
Warden (Guardians of relics and Field Specialists)
Wardens are responsible for Securing and locking up Relics and They guard the vaults and do Field work.
Whisper (Enforcers and spies within The Order)
Whispers are the Order’s eyes and ears when there is conflict. Spies will go out to gather information from Veil-threatening incidents. Enforcers help enforce and maintain the Veil. May go out and scout for potential members.
Oracle (Advisors)
Oracles are people within The Order that are IC or OOC advisors (they can be one or the other or both) to the Order and the Leads. When working on things that might have corresponding situations an Oracle can be 'tapped' politely to gain insight, information, or help with ideas.
Hand (Second Position)
Hands are in charge of The Order in the absence of the Arbiter(s). Fully trusted and committed to The Order’s vision, purpose, and goals. Wardens serve as the right-hand(s) of the Arbiter(s).
Arbiter (Lead Position)
Arbiters are entrusted to lead the Howling Hills branch of The Order. The oversee the overall vision, purpose, and goals The Order established centuries ago. Arbiters are responsible for hosting events or fostering an RP-friendly environment that enriches both the players' experience and the faction/sim storyline.
Order World Lore
With departments across the globe, The Order is the world's first line of defense against Corruption, fighting for both the supernatural and the natural behind the scenes.
From fending off stronger creatures (The Corrupt) outside of the Veil and protecting said Veil to healing those who were freshly bitten or even confronting those hell-bent on tainting themselves, The Order is ever vigilant in maintaining balance amidst the chaos.
Whether appearing as a pedestrian on the street or a member of parliament, members of this organization are scattered throughout the populace. They are said to blend in to keep a watchful eye on those under or outside of the Veil who might risk spreading the 'unmaker' known as corruption.
While The Order is a known organization, few have been properly identified as affiliates. Rumors throughout history have hinted that The Order's secrecy is for their own protection, but none have been able to answer the remaining inquiry: Why?"

City Lore for Order
In 1794, the Order created one of the first settlements in Vermont that has come to be known as Howling Hills. Being part of the creation of Howling Hills itself, they lurked under the guise of Civil Employees organizing the strings within the City. Their goal was to create a place where Supernatural and the Mundane could live in peace.
In 1797, this goal shifted when Aberrations appeared and the creation of Veils became the foundation of Surviving the corruption of magic in the world. And so now, the Order oversees the Cities Veil and pushes the pieces on the board to protect the delicate balance that keeps the City from falling apart.
No one knows for sure who resides within the Order or just where their influence resides within the City. But what is known, is that the Order Exists out there waiting to act should someone tilt the scales.
