History
Before the Veil
It's hard to say how long the Valoria Caverns have existed or how many years before the conflict between Innate and Denizens of Valoria carried on. But what is known, is that the location is a place far older than most. (Further Lore can be unlocked through roleplay.)
First Impressions & Nature of Valoria Caverns
When the Order first created the settlement of Howling Hills in 1794, there were concerns about the fragments of Valoria Caverns that resided within the veil. Attempts were made to record the regions within and outside the veil, but the nature of the Verdant Sunlit Grove (Spring & Summer Area) and Frostbound Glade (Winter Area) remained everchanging. Each was a chaotic realm of untamed magic, shaped by clashing cultures and the wildly diverse nature of the Innate and the strange, sentient flora. Constant conflict brewed between the Innate and the many races that called the Frostbound Glade and the Verdant Sunlit Grove home.
1835 - Once Howling Hills Veil Came, Things Would Change
As Howling Hills became more established and the Veil was placed around the City, the Innate and Denizens of Valoria Caverns were left with a choice. Find peace among themselves, or face a ruling from the founders that would cast them from the Veil into the World full of Aberrations and Corruption.
A difficult choice stood before them: either abandon the old beliefs that had long fueled cultural conflict among those that lived there, or carry those bitter divisions beyond the safety of the Veil and risk the spread of Corruption. The decision was not made lightly. Many cultures of those that lived there had clashed for generations. Letting go of those ways felt like letting go of identity itself. Still, with tensions rising and the threat of losing the region’s natural flow of Wild Magic growing ever more real, the Innate of the Valoria Caverns chose a strained sort of peace. Some did so with heavy hearts, others with quiet resentment, but they agreed at least for now, that survival meant coexistence.
In time, Valoria Waters found something resembling peace. The people of the Frostbound Glade and the Verdant Sunlit Grove, once bitter enemies, stood side by side under a tentative truce. Festivals emerged to mark this fragile unity, where songs were sung and stories told of the day enemies chose to share their fire rather than burn alone. But peace is never as simple as a celebration. Old hatred does not vanish with words or time. It lingers, silent and patient, buried beneath the surface like a seed in winter. Waiting for its season to return.
Attempting to Research & Document Valoria Waters
In the 1900s, Havoc attempted to contain and chart Valoria Cavern's magic, which often resulted in disaster. Failed equipment, vanishing scouts, and spells that went terribly wrong. It was eventually decided that the Valoria Caverns are unable to be controlled or fully understood, even for those known as the Innate. And so books on the Caverns have labeled them as officially an uncharted and 'natural anomaly', which is fitting to the magically inclined residents that called the place home.

Valoria Waters & The Forests of Valoria
The water that flows into the caverns that brings the nature of wild magic. The waters come from Forest of Valoria. The forests are neither here nor there, but scattered and interconnected across the world. Some places within the Veils, some not. Its dangerous to try and travel between Forests using the currents of the Valoria Waters. One never knows where they'll end up.
