Jewelry & Accessories Policy
To maintain professionalism, hygiene, and safety, all staff are required to follow hospital standards regarding jewelry and accessories.
General Guidelines
Jewelry should be minimal, professional, and non-distracting.
Avoid items that could interfere with medical duties, pose a safety risk, or compromise infection control.
Permitted Items
Small stud earrings (no dangling or hoop styles while on duty).
Simple wedding bands or plain rings; limit to one per hand.
Watches or fitness trackers that can be easily sanitized.
Necklaces tucked beneath uniforms or scrubs.
Religious or cultural items may be worn discreetly if they do not interfere with care or equipment.
Not Permitted
Large hoop earrings, long necklaces, or bulky bracelets.
Facial piercings (except small nose studs or clear retainers).
Rings with protruding stones or sharp edges that can tear gloves or skin.
Jewelry made of materials that can harbor bacteria (cloth bands, leather, porous materials).
Excessive or flashy accessories that draw attention or pose hazards in clinical settings.
Special Exceptions
Staff working in non-clinical roles (administrative, reception, research) may wear slightly more expressive jewelry, provided it remains professional.
Magical or enchanted jewelry used for protection or stabilization of supernatural conditions must be approved ICly by Hospital Directors and logged in the hospital’s registry to ensure it does not interfere with equipment or patients.
Out of Character Rules & Notes
Please understand the basic scope of your chosen hospital role. If unsure, research or ask for guidance. Outside resources (medical articles, role guides, etc.) should be used to help ensure accurate portrayal.
Stick to the profession you choose ICly. Do not roleplay duties or procedures outside your character’s scope of training or job role.
If you wish for your character to progress into another area of the medical field (e.g., Nurse → Surgeon, Paramedic → Physician), this must be brought up in character with the Hospital Directors. Progression should be handled through IC discussion and training, not assumed.
If an IC dispute arises that cannot be resolved among yourselves, reach out to Directors or submit a ticket for Sim Mods to handle.
The Hospital is fully staffed 24-7, if there are no players in the hospital assume that there are NPCs and cameras in common areas and hallways (IE: Lobbies, Stairwells, and halls). This would make it very difficult to do any sort of unethical activities in these areas (IE: Stealing, kidnapping, breaking and entering, ERP etc. etc.) If you are looking to conduct one of these activities in one of these areas you must reach out to the Hospital Leadership to roll for detection. If you are caught ICC will happen. If Leadership isn’t about, toss them a DM on discord providing Logs & Roll.
If you plan to use the hospital structure as part of a larger storyline, it must be coordinated through Hospital Leadership. Additionally, any plots involving infiltration whether as a spy or with intent to cause harm to staff or civilians must also be coordinated with Hospital Leadership beforehand.
CONSENT IS A MUST. This is non-negotiable. Adhere to HH Rules. ICA = ICC.
