It is not mentioned in the Bible whether Jacob ever saw Rebekah again. It is likely that he did not see her. It is mentioned in the Bible that they buried Rebekah’s nurse, but it is not mentioned in the Bible that they buried Rebekah. “Now Deborah, Rebekah’s nurse, died, and she was buried below Bethel under the oak; it was named Allon-bacuth.” (Genesis 35:8)
This most likely means that Jacob was not present when Rebekah died. The Bible events followed Jacob and his sojourns. During his stay with Laban, Jacob could not go back because Esau held a grudge for a long time.
For the sake of her son’s life, Rebekah probably never dared to send for her son even on her death bed. She most likely feared that calling for her son back would incite Esau to eventually kill him. So perhaps she told her family members to not call Jacob back even if she lay dying. This would have been one of a good mother’s great sacrifices for her son.
When Jacob did return, it was through prayer and God’s protection that Esau did not do any harm to Jacob. But by the time Jacob returned, Rebekah might have already passed. Rebekah’s nurse was still alive. So it was likely Jacob took care of her in remembrance of Rebekah until the nurse also died and was buried.
Jacob saw his father Isaac again. He and Esau buried their father together: “Jacob came to his father Isaac at Mamre of Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron), where Abraham and Isaac had sojourned.
Now the days of Isaac were one hundred and eighty years. Isaac breathed his last and died and was gathered to his people, an old man of ripe age; and his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.” (Genesis 35:27-29)
Things probably would have turned out much better for Jacob and Rebekah if Jacob had greater faith in God.
If he had greater faith in God to protect him and had wanted to return home earlier, he could have done so. Esau would not have done him any harm, because God would not have allowed it. But Jacob greatly feared Esau (Genesis 32:7), even though he saw angels and heard the Lord promise to bless him and his descendants (Genesis 28:12-17).
The same is true of our own lives. We should trust in God with all our hearts and not be afraid. Then the Lord will make our paths straight.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Jesus said, "All things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive" (Matthew 21:22).
