When I was a kid, one of my favorite things about Thanksgiving was the cranberry sauce, from a can. Yup, the gooey jell that was slid out of the can whole and cut into slices.
When I got a bit older I discovered whole berry cranberry sauce and I was amazed how much better it was over the jell version. This became my go to cranberry sauce.
...until...
I came across a recipe for making my own. I have tweaked and twisted this recipe a bit here and there until I finally came up with this version that uses homemade candied orange peel. I LOVE this version.
