The Boar Tribe Gathers

The Boar Tribe Gathers.mp4

The cue starts with jigo and his team, searching for the forest spirit. During this, we can hear the evil Jigo Theme again, played by the first violins. This is followed up by various A# augmented chords, until Jigo looks at the many members of the boar tribe, as we appropriately hear the Boar Tribe Theme in full brass power. As Okkoto, the leader of the tribe, steps into the frame, the music is only taking steps with big percussion hits, already building up the Okkoto Theme, which we can hear in full while Okkoto notices Jigo and his clan. The theme itself is played by tenor trombone. As Okkoto ralleys up his troups and the other boars respond, the rythm of the Boar Tribe Theme can be heard in the snare drum. We quickly cut to Jigo's troup, as they are moving. During this, we get hints of the evil Jigo Theme, as he jumps away.

Then, there is a jump cut to Ashitaka, and the beginning of the Ashitaka Theme sounds appropriately in ethereal harps. We suddenly can see the great forest spirit again and during the sequence where it heals Ashitaka's wound, multiple themes and ideas come into play. First, sitting above all else, the second violins play the chords from the cue "Full Of Hatred", as the wise woman speaks to the fallen Nago (A#5 - Asus2 add(b5)). But now, it is used for the ethereal healing of Ashitaka. Then, a quick statement of the Kodama Theme can be heard in crotales and finally, as we see the steps the great forest spirit takes, we can hear a descending whole tone scale in the harp. The last two chords finish and the scene is finished, ending the cue.
