Talk With Eboshi

We start this cue with Ashitaka revealing his marked arm to Lady Eboshi. During this, the Demon Theme plays slowly in strings together with the beginning phrase of the Ashitaka Theme in woodwinds. Ashitaka says that the mark will kill him eventually and Lady Eboshi reacts, asking where Ashitaka comes from. Ashitaka doesn't answer and Gonza threatens to cut him in half if he doesn't answer. Meanwhile, the Ashitaka B Phrase plays in strings, underlining Ashitaka's tragic fate. As Eboshi asks Ashitaka about what he wants, a F major chord creates tension. Ashitaka answers and there is no music. Eboshi reacts with laughter, though, and the Lady Eboshi Theme is being played with clarinet. Lady Eboshi agrees to show him her secrets and as the final A# minor chord plays, the harp plays a G♮ and a A♮ note, adding to the melodic minor feel, that is so present in the Lady Eboshi Theme. They walk away, ending the cue.
