The FoE team is a blend of international world-renowned academic researchers from the University of Bedfordshire, the University of Reading (UK), University College London, University of Reading Malaysia, and Waseda University in Japan.
The principal investigator (PI) of the FoE project is Dr. Fumiya Nakatsuhara, a Reader in Language Assessment at the Centre for Research in English Language Learning and Assessment (CRELLA), University of Bedfordshire. Dr. Nakatsuhara has expert knowledge in language testing and has led numerous testing projects for examination boards and universities worldwide. Her responsibilities as PI include organisation, leadership and management of the whole project.
The community of practice (CoP) lead for the FoE project is Dr. Chihiro Inoue. Dr. Inoue is a Senior Lecturer in Language assessment at CRELLA, and has developed and led international projects on test validation. As CoP lead, she ensures that all members are coordinated and supported throughout the project.
