Test specifications and sample tasks

These prototype test task specifications and sample tasks were developed based on an analysis of interaction in online EMI classrooms, as part of the Future of English project titled Digitally Mediated EMI Communication in Higher Education Classrooms: Transforming Evidence into Practical Resources (funded by the British Council, 2022-2025; PI: Fumiyo Nakatsuhara). They are intended as example low-stakes tasks that teachers can use as models to design their own test specifications and tasks, tailored to their local context.

To support this, we are sharing the specifications and sample tasks, as well as PowerPoint slides (which can be played as complete test tasks when viewed in full screen mode), in both Word and PowerPoint formats to allow for easy use and adaption by teachers.
