Life is an all encompassing term. It’s hard to narrow down because it can mean so many things; from poison dart frogs to nihilism. But whether philosophy or biology, life does follow one cardinal rule at all times - although it may go up and down, it doesn’t stop in its tracks for anyone. Aside from boring rollercoaster metaphors, it is comforting to note that life is a constant (in broad terms, not for the individual).
In this edition our writers have tried to capture the different facets of life: some have covered the natural part of it, such as deforestation or the origins of cancer, while others have delved into its more figurative aspects.
We would also like to thank our Y11 writers for their contributions to this month’s edition, as well as wish good luck to the Y13’s. Life does seem to slow down during exam season, but thankfully, it does go on.
