The Fibric Export Configure is designed to clean and optimize USD exports from Fibric products. It provides essential post-processing capabilities to refine your workflow output.
Key Capabilities:
• Hierarchy Reorganization - Clean and reorganize the USD output structure.
• Scale Conversion - Export at different measurement units (meter, decimeter, centimeter).
• Attribute Cleaning - Remove unnecessary attributes to optimize file size and performance..
Let's examine the ExportConfigure_examples.hiplc file to understand how each Fabric HDA contributes to the overall organization and configuration that the export process will finalize.
The node should be the last node of your Fibric template.
This setup contains all the possible Fibric elements, fabric, stitches(braids), fuzz and stickers.
Whenever a Fabric node contains a 'name' parameter, that parameter establishes the name of the primitives that will subsequently contribute to the hierarchy and naming convention.
The export configure node is creating a path hierarchy for each Fibric element, like this:
/Leena/FIBRIC/shirt/fabric/sweater (fabric - Fibric_Generator)
/Leena/FIBRIC/shirt/stitches/FrontBraids (stitches - Fibric_Stitches)
/Leena/FIBRIC/shirt/fuzz/sweater_fuzz (fuzz - Fibric_Fuzz)
/Leena/FIBRIC/shirt/stickers/floralSticker (sticker - Fibric_Stickers)
If we take a look at Solaris we can see how everything is properly configure.
Mode
Construted
Root
Sets the highest hierarchy of the Path attribute, normally used for "asset name".
Group
Sets the middel hierarchy of the Path attribute.
Cloth Piece
Sets the piece of cloth value in the Path attribute
Explicit
Path Pattern
Creates explicit export paths from primitive string attributes. To include an attribute value, place the attribute name inside {}.
Example: /assetName/FIBRIC/clothPiece/{fibric_group}/{name}
Here, {fibric_group} and {name} are tokens that will be replaced with the corresponding attribute values from the input Fibric.
Subdivide Mesh Guide
Pre-subdivide the Mesh to have a softer Fibric Garment result
Delete Attributes
Clean up attributes, good for performance and storage
Export Scale
Scale the output Fibric.
Meters/Decimeters/Centimeters
