As assignment 2 has turn into a group project, the 4 of us discussed among ourselves regarding which topic out of the 4 we are going to proceed with. Actually I was interested with Weian's topic of the smart garage, but they convinced me that this is not that useful in Malaysia, more common in western countries so it might not be so impactful for our project. Considering this, I agreed with them to choose Yu Hong's topic of the smart kitchen as our project focus. 

My job scope is focusing on the introduction part, where I have to bring out the overview, problem statement, target users and objectives. Great thanks to Yuhong for creating the design blueprint and floorplan, Weian for doing the market research and Yanning for the system architecture. Without their great effort we might not be able to complete this project successfully. 

For the target groups, I actually chose to focus on families, as I thought that catering all the needs of family members will be important as a kitchen serves as a public area, the heart of a house. Users of different age groups should have the freedom to enter and exit the kitchen area, with their safety and convinience compromised. Plus, busy working adults might need a kitchen that is easy in using, so they can prepare their meals quickly.
