Actually what has driven me to research on this topic is my IoT assignment, as I was doing a research about smart doorbell for that project. Before that I also had an idea of a parcel detection system, which I fail to bring out as the lecturer thought that doing something based on what we already have in market will make me more easier. So I had to give up on that idea and turn to smart doorbell.

For this project I thought that, since I had the freedom to choose my own topic, why not research about home security which can combine my findings and my ideas together? So that was how I started it. 

In my proposed system, there are 4 main components:

• smart doorbell

• parcel detection system

• CCTV

• intrusion detection

These components that uses sensors to receive data are connected to the central hub for data transimission and alerting the user through the mobile application. AI is used to process the data, identifying whether the data received is consider as a normal activity or a threat that the owner must be immediately alerted.
