O Christmas Tree, O Christmas cheer; we thank the Lord for much this year!
So much occurred in one short blink; we’ll keep it short and save our ink.
There’s travel, projects, kids, and work; some happy, sad, and quite berserk.
So here it goes, our 25th year of writing carols you can hear.
Michelle and Mom took sister’s tykes, so parents could escape the strife.
The time was fun and kids behaved; they cooked their meals and cleaned their caves
With Aunt and Grammy they did mesh; the parents came back well refreshed.
How sweet it was to help these four, and spend some time to build rapport.
O sewing cloth in patterns bold; Michelle sees many quilts unfold.
She and her friends were at QuiltCon where they got ideas to work on.
Her groups make quilts for vets nearby to bring them warmth and praises high.
The fellowship of quilting friends is multiplied by God in tens.
In spring we started camping more, but sadly migraines came galore.
With doctors help, Michelle has found, the pain subsiding all around.
The summer days reward our toils with garden beauty and great spoils.
O hornets, voles, and chicken friends; the wildlife battles never end.
In March our anniversary; with Wycliffe 15 years we’ll be!
Our jobs are such a privilege; we give the Lord our skills and pledge
To honor Him and let Him guide us bringing Bibles far and wide.
Without your prayers we cannot serve so thank you for your special words.
O Loren flew to Germany to serve translators’ families.
They met for conf’rence programs there and lifted up their work in prayer.
Their children love to play and run; we reenacted scripture – fun!
They learned that God is their refuge despite when trials seem quite huge.
He spent some very special time with fam’ly, friends, and views sublime.
On fam’ly trips and church retreat, the fellowship was oh so sweet.
Within two months we lost four friends; thankfully they’re whole again.
They touched our hearts in precious ways; we’re grateful for their earthly days.

The books are thick and projects hard, but both have grades that hit the mark.
In Matthew’s job he earned a raise; with Allstate he will gladly stay.
He loves to travel and play games and at his house he entertains.
O Christmas time, God came to Earth, in lowly state - a pauper’s birth.
He suffered death, and rose again, to be our Savior to the end.
We also know He’ll come again, to end our fight with death and sin.
May His love bless you on this day, and in your New Year we do pray!
