The year 2020 began with a bang
Celebrating Loren’s 50th with our entire gang.
‘Twas the third week in March and so far in the year
No one suspected what was quickly drawing near.
The JAARS Clinic was bustling and IT work booming
No notion of shutdowns or viruses looming.
When suddenly it seemed without knowledge or warning
We all hurried home to stop COVID from swarming.
Loren could work from home with ease
Michelle not so much as she had patients in need.
From shots in the driveway and trips to the clinic
She helped all she could, not missing a minute.
WIth meetings and training, not safe face-to-face
Loren created IT courses for cyberspace.
As days turned to months, we looked all around
Many house projects certainly did abound.
So busy we stayed with projects to do
We Zoomed all the time to keep up with our crew.
Loren helped Mom fix her house on the coast
It’s selling next month so she can move close.
The summer flew by and fall came as it should
The clinic is open with changes - that’s good!
August brought changes as Matthew moved out
The boys are on their own; the birds have flown out.
In October we camped enjoying family and friends
We are thankful for nature and the fresh air it lends.
So now here we are and the holidays are strange
We give thanks in small numbers; such a hard change.
Whether many or few we are never alone
As Jesus is with us, our heart is His home.
With love,
