3rd Year ESO Students, Institut Vila-seca
This project brings together high school students from different countries to raise awareness about environment and promote good habits.
Over five months, students will collaborate through interactive activities, creative campaigns, and the use of Web 2.0 tools. They will design posters, create eco-friendly action plans, participate in kahoots, and produce digital outputs such as videos, and a collaborative booklet.
By fostering teamwork and cultural exchange, the project aims to empower students to become advocates for a greener, more sustainable future.

MEETINGS
On 18th December 2025, the students of 3rd ESO took their first steps in the eTwinning project by taking part in their first online meeting with the partner schools from Turkey and Italy involved in the project “Acting for a Greener Future”. During the meeting, our students introduced their class, our school and its location in order to give a general overview of our educational community. The meeting was a great success and gave the students the opportunity to finally meet their international partners and put their English language skills into practice in a real and meaningful context.
STUDENTS' ACTIVITIES & TASKS
The students created their own digital avatars and wrote a short description of themselves to introduce who they are, their interests and hobbies.
These were shared with their international eTwinning partners to help them get to know each other and start communicating in a friendly and engaging way.
This activity supported self-expression, digital skills and intercultural communication.
At the beginning of the project, students (and teachers) complete an online survey to share our opinions, habits and previous knowledge about environmental issues, eTwinning and the use of digital tools.
Through this activity, we express our ideas honestly and reflect on our own daily actions related to sustainability. The survey helps teachers understand students’ starting points and interests, and serves as a reference to guide and adapt the activities throughout the project.
As part of the project, students designed their own logos to represent the values and goals of Acting for a Greener Future. Once completed, all the logos were shared and the best were uploaded on TwinSpace so that the whole international partnership could see and appreciate their work.
Afterwards, a logo contest was organised and students from all partner schools voted for their favourite design to choose one representative logo for the project. Finally, a collaborative logo created using all the students’ designs was produced. This logo now represents the Acting for a Greener Future project and highlights the importance of teamwork, creativity and international cooperation.
In this activity, students explored the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and reflected on real-life environmental and social challenges. They watched short presentations and videos to learn what the SDGs were and why they were important for the future. They also expressed their views by taking part in forums and answering questionnaires. Through interactive quizzes and games, students matched the goals with visual examples and chose the correct answers. This activity supported awareness of sustainability, global citizenship and responsible action.
Our students celebrated Safer Internet Day 2026 as part of the eTwinning project Acting for a Greener Future, exploring the theme “Smart tech, safe choices – Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI.”
They reflected on how to use the internet, digital tools, and AI safely, and took part in collaborative activities with their partners from Turkey and Italy:
Acrostic Poem – creating meaningful sentences with the letters of “USE SAFE BE SAFE.”
International Team Posters – sharing ideas about safe and responsible online behaviour.
These activities follow the Better Internet for Kids (BIK+) strategy, which ensures that children are protected, empowered, and respected online.
Through this project, students strengthened their digital skills, creativity, and teamwork while promoting a safer, smarter, and more responsible online world.
Students from INS Vila-seca have been actively participating in the TwinSpace forum by sharing their opinions and interacting with their European partners. They took part in discussions on topics such as Getting to Know Each Other and Environmental Issues, where they introduced themselves, learned about students from other countries, and exchanged ideas about different types of pollution and how they affect our planet.
These activities help students improve their communication skills in English while reflecting on important environmental challenges and possible actions to protect the environment. They answer questions like the following ones:
What types of pollution do you see most in your daily life (air, water, noise, land, etc.) and how do they affect people or nature around you?
Which type of pollution do you think is the most dangerous for the future of our planet, and what simple actions can students take to reduce it?
Students are working in international teams made up of six or seven members from the different countries participating in the project. In these mixed groups, they collaborate online, share ideas, and complete activities together.
This teamwork allows students to learn from one another, practice communication in English, and develop cooperation skills while working on common environmental topics.
Students are working in international teams made up of six or seven members from the different countries involved in the project. Each team focuses on a specific environmental issue and collaborates to create a poster together.
In their posters, students include a description of the problem, its causes and effects, and a local action plan with at least three actions that can help reduce the impact of the issue. Through this activity, students share ideas, learn from different perspectives, and work together to propose solutions for a greener future.
