Erasmus+ Mobility Takes Portuguese Students to Slovenia
From June 1st to 8th, eight students from the 8th and 9th grades and three teachers from the Agrupamento de Escolas de Vale de Ovil (Portugal) took part in an Erasmus+ mobility in Tržič, Slovenia, hosted by the partner school Osnovna Šola Tržič.
The journey began in Porto and included a flight to Treviso, Italy, followed by a mini-van transfer to Tržič. Throughout the week, students stayed with host families, which offered them a truly authentic and unforgettable cultural experience.
Between June 2nd and 6th, the Portuguese group joined the Slovenian school community and took part in a wide variety of educational and cultural activities. After a warm welcome ceremony, students attended lessons with local peers, joined cultural quizzes and language challenges, and took part in outdoor learning, creative and inclusive workshops, as well as traditional Slovenian dance and cooking classes. They also visited Ljubljana, the Slovenian capital, and explored the town of Tržič through interactive activities.
The week ended with an emotional farewell ceremony, where students, families and staff celebrated the strong bonds and shared experiences built over the days. On the way back, the group returned to Treviso, where they visited the city and spent the night before flying back to Porto on June 8th.
This Erasmus+ mobility was a valuable opportunity for all participants to develop personal, social and intercultural skills, while promoting the core European values of citizenship, inclusion and sustainability.
