ERASMUS+ "Inclusive Teaching with AI"
20. – 25.01.2025.

ERASMUS+ Inclusive Teaching with AI
20th – 25th of January 2025
Europass Teacher Academy, Athens, Greece
The course was held at the Europass Teacher Academy in Athens, gathering teachers from several European countries (Spain, Cyprus, Italy, Sweden, Lithuania, and Croatia), all of whom chose this training to learn about the latest AI applications in education.
Throughout the week, each participant presented their school, shared the challenges they face when working with students, and discussed their expectations from the course, along with their perspectives on the use of artificial intelligence in teaching.
The course leader introduced us to best practices for writing effective prompts when using ChatGPT, to help us make the most of AI tools in our work. We explored the characteristics of neurodivergent students—including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia—their learning styles and information processing, as well as techniques for adapting materials and lessons to better meet their needs. These topics were then connected to the use of AI-based tools.
We were introduced to a wide range of AI-powered applications tailored to different educational purposes, such as:
Task organization: Goblin Tools – MagicToDo
Text generation: ChatGP
Creation of teaching materials: MagicSchool, Diffit for Teachers
Presentation design: Gamma
Visual templates: Craiyon, Stable Diffusion
Text-to-speech tools: Natural Reader, Microsoft Word – Immersive Reader
Math support tools: PhotoMath, Wolfram Alpha
The course provided an introductory overview of AI tools useful for supporting students with learning difficulties, highlighting both the benefits and the limitations of integrating AI into education. In-depth understanding and confident use of these tools is an individual responsibility of each participant.
In addition to the course content, cultural activities were also organized by the Europass Teacher Academy, including hop-on hop-off sightseeing tours and a guided visit to the National Archaeological Museum in Athens.
A presentation was held at the Inter-County Professional Council for Speech and Language Therapists (March 7, 2025) with the aim of introducing colleagues to AI tools that can support the education of students with learning difficulties.
Workshops were also conducted with 5th and 6th-grade students as part of their regular ICT classes, where students were introduced to AI tools that can assist them in learning and keeping up with the curriculum.
