An EPICES student has the competence to acquire new scientific knowledge through research.

He is acquainted with the various stages of the research process and based on them he can acquire and develop new knowledge and insights.


To achieve this learning goal during an EPICES project a student should:


  • Be able to develop new scientific knowledge and insights based on research.
  • Be able to formulate a clear research problem.
  • Be able to draw up a structured research plan.
  • Be able to carry out the set research plan.
  • Be able to deal with the changeability of the research process during the project.
  • Be able to introduce scientific or technological innovation based on research.
