5. Educational Settings

The way in which your PBL-based EPICES project is designed and completed depends on a number of factors such as the content, the coaching strategy and the composition of the group.

Together these factors form the educational setting of your project and have an influence on the progress of it.

Two factors that influence your project considerably are the size of group and the development level of the group.


To ensure the success of your project it's therefore important that the ideal educational setting is created: groups of 4 to 6 students with a medium development level.

When this is not possible, you have to adapt your coaching to the specific educational setting of the EPICES project your coaching.
