1. Influence on PBL

One of the most important characteristics of the PBL-based EPICES projects is the co-operation among the students. Therefore a safe and activating educational setting should be created within which the students can learn from/with each other, and can work on their group and communication skills.

One crucial factor for reaching the set learning goals within this educational setting is the size of the groups. To reach the content and group-related learning goals, ideally speaking the size of a group should be between 4 and 6 students.

But because this is not always possible in certain circumstances, as a coach you will have to adapt your coaching:

This group size provides the best guarantee for a balanced knowledge input and co-operation among the students and will be the most probable to result in the achievement of the set content and group-related learning goals.

The coaching profile that can be drawn up based on the characteristics of your specific EPICES project remains valid for this group size.
