My interest in marine biology was sparked when I first read a book about sharks back in primary school. Ever since then, I have been passionate about nature and wildlife conservation, and have stubbornly pursued this dream of mine ever since. Since entering university, my interests have also expanded beyond the natural world itself, but also understanding its relationship with our society, and how we coexist with our environment.
For my FYP, I am exploring public perception of cultural ecosystem services on Singapore’s adaptive shorelines. I hope to uncover more about how people value our coasts and inspire a deeper appreciation for the biodiversity that thrives along them.
