The Clock Sound "t"

Learn how to say the sound “t” with Ms. Sarah, a Speech-Language Pathologist at the ECLC. We call this sound the “clock” sound for the “ticking” sound they make. Have your child open their mouth and put their tongue tip behind their upper front teeth, touching their gums. Encourage them to lightly tap the tongue on the spot while letting some air out, “t, t, t” to make the ticking sound a clock makes. Once your child can say “t,” you can encourage them to say: “tea,” “table,” “top,” and “ten.”
