Cub Chat

As a school, we have worked hard to improve social emotional instruction, which includes social skills, trauma informed strategies and social thinking. We understand the preschool years are a crucial time to form a solid foundation of skills for use in future academic, home and social environments. The Early Childhood Learning Center is dedicated to making sure your child is provided a well-rounded educational experience. This curriculum includes important social skills that will prepare your child for improved academic performance and future success in society. We use a social emotional curriculum called Cub Chat to teach these important skills. Cub Chat is a collaboration of the following social emotional curriculums: Second Step by Committee for Children, The Trauma-Informed Curriculum for Social Emotional Learning by Heather T. Forbes, LCSW and Social Thinking Curriculum by Michelle Garcia Winner.
