Ali Farzad is an Emergency Physician who really loves him a good life-saving ECG. He works clinically at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX and is a Clinical Associate Professor at Texas A&M College of Medicine. He completed EM residency and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Emergencies under the mentorship of Dr. Mattu at University of Maryland.
Dr. Farzad is an editor and consultant at ECGWeekly. After several years of writing summaries and studying electrocardiography, he decided to create ECG STAT! His goal is to deliver all the important and must-know (but easy to forget) ECG criteria and pearls into a simple webapp that is easy to use at the point-of-care. He hopes to make interpreting ECGs easier and wants to help disseminate information that will help acute care providers save more lives!
Ali considers his greatest success to be his family. He is a loving husband and proud #girldad to a next generation ECG enthusiast, Lili. He would love to hear what you think of ECG STAT!

Amal Mattu is a tenured professor of Emergency Medicine and the creator & host of the popular ECGWeekly Blog. He is currently a Vice Chair of Education, Director of the Faculty Development Fellowship and Co-Director of the Emergency Cardiology Fellowship in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland.
Dr. Mattu is a talented educator who has passionately written and taught about electrocardiography and emergency cardiology for more than 20 years. He is the recipient of numerous teaching commendations and awards, and has authored multiple best selling ECG textbooks. He has the unique ability to breakdown difficult concepts into actionable high yield clinical pearls.
Most importantly, Amal is an incredible husband and father to 3 amazing children, known affectionately as "NikEleKam" on ECGWeekly. He loves hearing from people with cool ECG's.

ROb blankenship, md

CEO & Founder - @rbblankenship

Rob Blankenship is an Emergency Physician and administrative leader. He completed his EM Residency at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood, TX. Dr. Blankenship is a physician leader, and serves as his emergency department's medical director. He is a great teacher and passionate about ultrasound. In fact, he has been teaching point-of-care ultrasound internationally and online at EMsono.com for over 10 years. Dr. Blankenship developed the Army’s First Tactical Ultrasound Course in 2007 after returning from Iraq where he was awarded the Bronze Star for his service with the 1-66 Armor, 4^th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, TX.
Dr. Blankenship founded ECGWeekly and serves as the CEO and in-hour IT guru. His main job here is to ensure the site works well for our educational team and for our learners.
