Language and literacy contribute a lot towards the development of creativity in children. Language enables children to use their creative thinking by articulating their ideas, thoughts, and feelings, and this is vital in creative thinking. Literacy offers the means for children to read books, learn new ideas, and construct imagination. Reading and writing force them to use their critical minds, solve problems, and make up their own stories(NSW Government, 2022) . When rich vocabulary, narratives, and written texts are provided to children, they are confident enough to venture into innovative solutions and articulate new ideas, establishing a solid foundation for creativity that fosters cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
