The following are activities for various age groups to stimulate creativity in engineering:
**0-2 Years: "Building with Soft Blocks"**
- Offer big soft building blocks so that the little child can stack them up and build. It is a first exposure to important ideas of engineering such as balance, stability, and building, where children can keep their hands busy with shape and structure(McDonald, 2023).
**2-3 Years: "Cardboard Creations
- Provide kids with cardboard, tape, and scissors and try to make buildings or forms. They can make simple houses, towers, or tunnels and get to understand some fundamental construction and design concepts by doing so.
**3-5 Years: "Bridge Building Challenge"**
- Offer supplies such as popsicle sticks, glue, and light weights. Have children create a bridge to support a toy car. This tests problem-solving, cooperation, and creative thinking with the unveiling of principles such as balance and capacity(McDonald, 2023).
**6-8 Years: "Simple Machine Exploration"**
- Build simple machines such as pulleys, levers, or ramps using simple tools and materials. They can learn and make their own, with a sense of motion, force, and mechanics through hands-on skills. It reinforces their engineering abilities and fuels their creativity and innovation(McDonald, 2023).
