Screen recording

Screen-recording can be done in desktop operating systems (windows/linux/mac) as well as in tablets. Tablets with active pen support are among the simplest way of delivering lectures with realtime writing and audio.

Here are few options to consider:

  • Use a tablet (Android based or iPad) to write on a note-taking application and record the screen and voice. We suggest looking at individual sections for Android based tablets and iPad.

  • Use a personal computer to record audio and video (optionally) as well as dictating from a pdf/ppt. A digital writing pad can be useful as well. This section can be found here.

  • Combinations of these are also possible. A particular scenario is following: one writes on a tablet and the screen of the tablet is mirrored in a desktop. Then the desktop can be recorded which will support video from the webcam and use of other applications on the desktop.
