 Spring Cleaning 

It is early in the year, but summer is close. Thus, it might be lovely to clean your space. The snow has melted away. During the winter, people were careless. Plenty of trash was hidden below the snow, only to be covered with more layers. Which is why it might be a good idea to help recover the place. While people are busy sweeping the streets clean from pebbles, perhaps you could help them out? Do some good for your humble town.

✨ PETS ✨

You either have the easiest or hardest job. Do you wish to help your owner clean the house? Perhaps there is something hidden in your garden that got buried when the snow came. Either way, now it  is time to collect the skeletons in your backyard. You can help your owner in your own way or rest while the people are doing their jobs.

🌾  FARMSTEAD 🌾

The fields are cleaner. Sheep are once more in the open. You are back at working heavier as a shepherd or herder. Hunting season is on, so hunting dogs will surely be occupied with their people in the woods. Ratters will be busy as ever, while the guard dogs can finally rest. With the seasons warming up, fewer strays will be around. Though, all the farm dogs are the same at the end. Smelling as dirt and manure as the people began to cultivate their fields. Stay away from the tractors, one might say. In the meanwhile, perhaps help plant some flowers. Is there any mess lingering around?

🪶 STRAYS 🪶

Streets are being swept by local humans. You can either be brave and help clean the town, or try to avoid them. The suburbs are more keen on collecting their own place. While city streets are filled with people more often. They leave food behind for anyone to grab, and tend to be focussed on themselves.

🌧️ JUNKYARD DOGS 🌧️

The junkyard has its own world. Not really focussed on the pets or farm dogs, they can fix their own place. Perhaps some new treasure pops up in the junk. Or you wish to segregate and clean your favourite spot. You can both scavenge the area for goods or try to help to tidy up your pack’s location. Despite it being a junkyard, it might help to make the place more appealing, no?

Any dog can help clean their home, or fix something on the street. This will be considered  an act of community service. Despite not being in the council, you will be rewarded with attention.

Weather Broadcast!

Snow is now gone, the grass is growing back thicker than last month. Instead of being small flower buds, they are now actual flowers. Leaves have yet to form. Nature might be coming back, but the weather is still low. Spring rain comes in and the outdoors is full  with the wind. Mornings are filled with thick fog after the rainy nights. Besides the air feeling moist , it is mostly good. Or perhaps more of a breeze in contrast to the winter.

Guidelines:

This MSE can be done as a part of a collaboration, general solo art, roleplay or even literature! If art, it must be fully coloured and at least a half body with a background. The background doesn't need to be detailed but it must at least have some effort put into it.

 Hurricane Warning

Slowly, but surely, the nights are getting shorter by the day the the temperature gradually rising. The crops planted in early Spring bore fruit and the town is busy with harvesting and processing the freshly picked fruits, vegetables and other crops like wheat or corn. Town busy preparing for the coming Summer and the tourist season, stacking up on supplies and finishing up the winter wrap up, unbeknownst to a nearing danger. A glooming shadow is creeping its way closer to the peaceful land of Canidale, casting an alarming darkness over the streets and farmlands. A storm is coming, dark thunderclouds threatening the harvest, and the danger of flood. Canidale issued a hurricane warning to raise awareness and to prevent any avoidable damage to the people and their animals.

✨ PETS ✨

You have the luxury to watch the showering rain from the comfort of a cozy and dry room. While your owners might have to deal with an occasional blackout and the possible leaks letting rainwater pour into the less secured rooms in the house, unless you are on duty, you probably have a pleasant memory of the events, having your owner shut in with you, forced to spend time together. less lucky is your fate should you work with the police or firemen, sparing no effort to aid those in need, remove fallen trees from the roads or assist rescue operations.

🌾  FARMSTEAD 🌾

Chaos reigns, all the farmland animals are in a frenzy, terrified of the raging storm. Shuttles are smashing against the walls of the barnhouse, livestock in a craze trying to run away from the thundering sounds and your owner out in the pouring rain, chasing down escapees or dipping their buckets deep into the pool formed in the barn or stables, trying to save what can be saved. You need to assist them in their misery, chase down and shepherd home any runaway animals, chase away hungry predators here for a free meal or get rid of the critter swarm trying to find shelter from the storm in the house.

🪶 STRAYS 🪶

You are either one of those lucky bastards who knows a safe spot which keeps your paws dry, or more likely, soaked wet on the open streety, trying to claim some area for yourself where you can wait out the end of the storm. For those unbothered by the free shower and willing to shed down month of dirt and smell, you can find narrow alleys protected from the rushing wind to enjoy a bathtime, There are plenty of stillwater gathered in street holes for you to be able to even be picky. While some are finally having a refreshing shower, they might wanna use the commotion and the limited visibility to cause some mischief, steal some food from the ruined stalls and shops or scare peaceful pets, finding their way into basements or backyards.

🌧️ JUNKYARD DOGS 🌧️

The hurricane is not going easy on your makeshift community either, heavy metal garbage is lifted up into the air and tossed around the place you just finished tidying up. Lower areas are flooded and a smaller system of rivers and lakes is being established on the Junkyard. Due to the metal salvage lightning bolts are gathering all above the property and striking near the heavy junk. No car or metal shelter is safe and better be avoided unless you wish for a short life. Better look for some non-metal shelter and highground to wait out the end of the hurricane, and make sure to not let your smaller mates drown.

Weather Broadcast!

Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to reach Canidale in the following few days. An Enhanced Risk has been issued for parts of the region, alarming citizens for the coming hurricane. The main threats will be minor twisters, very large hail, and damaging winds. Additionally, heavy rain and flash flooding is likely across portions of the lowlands.

 WEEKEND HIKE

As the inpredictable weather gets milder and milder by the day, families and all who call Canidale their home are more eager to plan for a days long hiking trip near the National Conservation Area surrounding the town from the west. Lush and deep wood and a well maintained hiking trail are offering a quiet and refreshing experience for the many who wish to leave the busy town life behind for a long weekend and let their mind be free from the worries.

You are one lucky, or unlucky companion, depending on personal preferences, who got the chance to accompany your owner on a weekend hike! Sharing a tent, swimming in the river, chasing down squirrels and barking up trees are all what you need to do, as you, just like your human, are on a vacation. Just make sure to not get chills at night, next to the crackling fire hearing all sorts of new sounds.

What gives, dragging you away from your precious land and duties, you find yourself in a foreign land, filled with foreign animals. You might exhale a curse as now you are stuck with a few more, aimlessly wandering on a trail, without a job to do, or embrace this opportunity to learn something new and chase down some wild boars. What is the difference between them and a pig, after all?

Many people abandoning their homes and business for a precious few days means one thing for you: You shall have the whole town to yourself, if you wish to stay behind. Prime opportunity to do some mischief, break into the foodstore, chase down some abandoned farm animal or get to places, which are usually complicated to infiltrate.

People focusing their efforts to gather food and pack them into carryable packages means one thing: It is time for a raid. There is nothing like an easy earned bite, as the self-important, but often worthless lap warmers are way too occupied with some bugs or birds. Mind the bears tho, and those guardian dogs who are not all bark, but bite.

June is the start of the classic summer holiday break with temperatures beginning to warm up in Canidale. The first month of the Summer hould be dry, for most of central and southeast area of the region. While no major heat waves are predicted, most days are expected to read near to a few degrees above normal. Temperatures averaging on a rather warm scale and there is barely any rainfall to speak of, while you can expect to enjoy 11 hours of sunshine each day.

Things have been a bit slow in Spring, however with the full return of the head admin, the long awaited Main Story Quest will start sometime in the Summer!

MUSIC SOIREE

It is the middle of summer, enjoy it as long as it lasts! Nights are shorter and filled with lights, as for this summer, a festival has reached town  Musicians and bands from all places have come to town to impress its citizens with their skills and creativity. All sort of music will be showcased and shared. Country, Rock, Pop, you name it!
The festival is taking place near the Great Oak park, with lights all over town. The nights have never looked brighter.
During the festival, fireworks will take place at a specific time in the evening. While regular citizens will have permission to bring sparkles/tiny fireworks along them. However, the noise does not start until early evening. During day time, markets take place. T-shirts, souvenirs, delicious dishes, and so on will be sold in booths near the park.

As a companion, you have the option to be brought along with your humans. The festivals are not closed off for dogs. Not only so, but you have the option to enjoy the music. Some may like the tunes played at night, while others could be annoyed enough to wish writing complaints was an option.
There are many options for dogs who are companions, some join the festivals, while others sneak out to tag along if they so wish. The market is also an interesting area to visit and inspect. To each their own! As pets, you can freely enjoy the summer.

Many farmstead individuals have less time to spare than pets. Work does not really rest, unlike those who have summer break. Still, if the festival is something that strikes your interest, perhaps give it a go? Tag along with a friend, or take a stroll on your own. Perhaps you might find something you like.

July is not much different than June, the summer keeps on going strong with the beautiful weather. Tempting to be outside if you are an outdoor person. However, the temperature has climbed up since last month. Causing the daytime to have a few heatwaves. They are not major, nor do they last for weeks. The most pleasant times to be outside would be either in the morning or evening, unless you are one to enjoy the warmth.

SURFING CHAMPIONSHIP

Goooood morning Canidale! Here's your all-time favorite, fresh from New York... oh shuush Charlie, it's a figure of speech ...where were I? Ah, yes, ekhem... the magnificent and oh so talented speaker Corvo, who has the pleasure to welcome ya all to the opening of this year's surfing contest! The waves are particularly high today and I hope you are just as impatient as I am to see those surfboards gliding. Look, the participants are already lining up and boy, there are so many of them! Something tells me this year it’s gonna be a tough fight. Their costumes are just dashing but it will take more than that to impress the judges.
I wonder who the next champion of the waves will be....

✨ PETS ✨

Joining the competition could never be easier than with a doting owner. They got you your very own surfboard made and now are vividly cheering for you from the stands. Overall it makes you even more desperate for a shining gold medal to bring home. All you gotta do is catch a nice wave and show off some moves. But don’t get too upset if you accidentally slip and fall, everyone knows that the most important part of the championships is to have fun!

Let’s say balancing on a wobbly plank carried along the waves is not a strong side. Having lived your whole life on the farm, you certainly feel more secure with a firm ground under your paws. If despite that you’d still like to try your chances, your owner will surely be more than happy to enter you for the competition. Those who decide that surfing is not their thing can take up a lifeguard's task, fishing out those who have happened to take a particularly clumsy fall.

You may not have an owner who would buy you a brand new shining surfboard but that doesn't mean you have to miss out on all the fun. Afterall, there's so much scrap laying around the junkyard just waiting to be used... Perhaps with the help of your friends you could turn it into something that could be used for surfing? And then, even if you and your brand new surfonator 7000 won't be accepted for the official contest, there are plenty of other occasions to enjoy the waves. What could be more romantic than a swim with your other half against the setting sun?

🪶 STRAYS 🪶

The championship is open for everyone who comes with a surfboard, but how exactly are you going to achieve that? You don’t have access to brand new equipment like pets do, or piles of scrap that can be mended. However at this time of the year many objects end up washed at the beach. Perhaps one of them could be conveniently used to hold you afloat just for a long enough time to do a few tricks?The summer is in its peak and the heat is starting to become unbearable. All creatures, big and small are trying to find respite in the waters of an ocean just right outside the Canidale. It's also the time of the year, when the coastline becomes most lively and colorful. Everyone is out at the beach, wandering, picnicking, playing in the sand or getting involved in a variety of water activities. Some are already training and practicing their best tricks for a championship that's just around the corner…

Pets

You greatly enjoy spending time on the beach and use every occasion to yank your owner in towards the sea. The beach opens endless possibilities. You could build sandcastles together, play fetch, swim or just simply relax while sunbathing. However, when it’s time to leave you put on your best acting skills in order to show your human you’re so exhausted that moving even one step forward is above you.

Farmstead

Out there, amongst the open fields and large pastures the heat can be truly exhausting. You feel as if everything around is melting and your vision starts playing tricks on you making you see things. All you think about is when you will be relieved of your duty and free to sprint towards the inviting waves. But even then you hardly get a chance to slack off at the beach since those pesky seagulls are just waiting to snack on your family’s dinner.

Junkyard dogs

Quite a short walk from the shades of the town lies the limitless blue sea offering a much needed cooldown. Catching a pickup truck or simply walking your way down to the beach is all it takes to feast on the leftover sandwiches and cause havoc on the shores where humans thought they could ban out pets. Time to destroy sandcastles and give those beach guards some work to do.

Strays

 If you manage to dodge the praying eyes of the shelter staff trying to chase down your tail or the not so welcoming fangs of junkyard thugs, you might find a hidden lagoon, an unexplored cave and some peace to enjoy the gentle waves against your paws.

We are reaching a close finale of summer. Not like one can really feel the end reaching. The sun shines as warm as ever. Summertime-sadness was never an option this year. With this, there are many activities to participate in during the last sprint. The temperature is between 22-29˚ celsius (or 71-84˚f,)

NEWS:

This month we also have made a few changes to prepare for the upcoming of the main story.

First of all we would like to announce that MSE updates will be arriving every two months, giving you more time to complete your prompts. The month in between will begin with an update to the main story depending on the progress your characters have made during the previous period.

The main story itself will unfold as you complete special tasks and depending on the prompt there will be a certain goal to be met for a successful progress in the story. Moreover, each individual entry will be rewarded with one point towards the Canine Council indicating your character's involvement in the matters of Canidale's community. This also means that the current Council Tasks are going to be archived and it's no longer possible to achieve Council Points by completing them.

All the leaves have fallen down from trees and the first overnight frost has covered the grass in a thin white layer. Even though Canidale is still days away from getting its first snowfall, all the pumpkins have been cleared from the streets and the candy is eaten. Wild animals are finishing their last winter preparations and human lives have gotten even more hectic with Christmas right around the corner. For the dog residents of Canidale winter is both a source of happiness and dread. Depending on whether they have a roof over their heads, some are already excited about the unwrapping of this year's presents, while others are anticipating the struggle to protect themselves from the upcoming night colds.

Soon the canines will be celebrating the beginning of a new year. It’s time to think of resolutions, as they wait in anticipation for what the future will bring.

PETS

You have been waiting for this day ever since your owner brought a whole tree inside your home. It’s time to enjoy with your family, snuggling together in front of the fireplace, unpacking gifts, or begging for scraps from the Christmas table. But that’s not all. This lovely atmosphere encourages a gift of sharing. It’s nice to get all those toys and treats, but do you really need all of them? Perhaps there’s some lonely and forgotten soul nearby?

FARMSTEAD

There is a rumor circulating amongst farm dogs that on one special night of the year all animals speak in the same language. You decide to grab warm blankets, and a few freshly baked cookies from your folk’s kitchen and get yourself comfortable in the barn, waiting for the clock to strike midnight. Would the rumor turn out to be just a hoax or does the Christmas magic really exist? Hopefully, you won’t fall asleep this time! Perhaps it may be a good idea to bring some friends along?

JUNKYARD

Each year homeless dogs commit to building their own Christmas tree in the middle of Junkyard. Built entirely out of garbage-dug scrap, it’s not the most conventional Christmas tree. Yet for you, it’s the most beautiful one you’ve ever seen. Each faction member contributes to it, even if with just a small ornament. Each day it grows in front of your eyes, and when the celebration time comes everyone gathers around it, exchanging greetings, telling stories, dancing, and sharing a hearty feast that some good samaritan has left for you outside of the Junkyard.

STRAY

The city is lit by colorful lights and bustling with joy, but you yourself are far from that. You have no family to celebrate with, no house to shield you from the winter cold and the food is plain and scarce as always. Perhaps you had a home once, or maybe it was always like that. All you think about is finding a safe nook to spend the night in. Do you feel jealous of others having such a good time? Would you try to join them? Or perhaps traversing the empty streets under the starry sky fills you with a sense of peace?

You can participate in any faction’s prompt provided that there’s at least one dog from that faction featured in your submission.

Our next character of the season is Iroh! Oscuraz has been very active and involved in our group. They create interesting and colorful characters and we can't wait for more.

  MAIN STORY UNFOLDS!  

As soon as the surf fun on the ocean ended and summer slowly began to end, everyone returned to their old duties. Pets were enjoying the last rays of sunshine with their owners on the beach, Farmstead were helping their farmers with the final summer chores in the fields, and Strays were enjoying the tourists walking around town throwing large portions of food into the trash. All the factions returned to their harmonious lives except for one...The dogs of the Junkyard noticed the extended absence of their leader Doc. At first, it didn't cause much concern - because hey, maybe he was also taking a few days off from his daily duties? But the days were slipping away, inexorably approaching the council meeting, and everyone knew that his absence would cause a scandal…The dogs of Canidale decided to work together to find their leader, starting with the places he spent the most time:

PROMPT 1: His burrow at the top of the large junk tower in the Junkyard, where Doc kept all his treasures.

PROMPT 2: His favorite park on the outskirts of town, where he spent quiet days relaxing and digging holes for bones.

PROMPT 3: The tastiest restaurant in town, serving solid, rare steaks that Doc dug out of the dumpsters out back.

Keeping positive thoughts in mind, the dogs of Canidale set out on their search, but each day and each empty spot brought them closer to their real worries and concerns…

In order for the whole group to progress on the main story, each prompt has to be completed at least once. You can do it solo or as a collab. In order to complete this prompt you have to portray your characters checking out the specified area.

Requirements:

- A fully shaded illustration with background OR a piece of literature, at least 800 words per character

- since this quest is oriented towards Junkyard members, in order to be eligible for a reward each piece has to include at least one Junkyard canine

Reward:

- One Canine Council point for each character that completes the task, that can be later used for raising your character's council rank.

  IMPORTANT! Please post all main story related artworks and literature to new group gallery labeled "Main Story".

Activity changes

Now it's time for some bad news! We've been studying the group activity for the past half a year and noticed that there are many members who haven't been active ever since the opening. Since we would like to open the group to new people we decided there should be a method to clear up the spots which are not used anyway!

So with great pain we are introducing seasonal activity checks. But calm down, it doesn't mean you will have to say farewell to the group if you're leading a busy lifestyle. We've designed the new activity system with extra care to give everyone a chance, even if they want to take a lazy season or two.

So, let’s get to the point.
Here you’ll find a channel that will be used to mark your character’s activity checks for the season. Each character is going to need their own activity check to be marked safe.

In order to submit a character for activity check you’ll need to fill out this form:

``Submission:`` (link to the submission on dA, link to discord message or attached image/pdf)

The form is also pinned on top of the activity channel.

For now we decided to be extra forgiving with the activity checks which means that you can use any piece featuring your character for the submission. It can be a full illustration, a MSE entry, a roleplay – but it can also be a part of a group collab, sketch or even a message from the new MSE channel. All we want to see is that you haven’t abandoned your character during the season. The only type of work we won’t allow for activity checks are the ones made without an effort from the character’s owner (ex. Commissions, gifts).

We advise submitting characters for activity checks as soon as the activity is completed, but we will be posting extra reminders before the end of the season just in case. Each approved activity submission will be marked with a  form a staff member.
All canines who will fail to make the activity checks on time will be caught by the local rescue team and brought to Canidale’s „inactive character shelter” (A small reminder that it’s not the same shelter as in roleplay and you don’t need to purposely make you character inactive if you want to include it in your story).

Until they are brought back inactive characters:

- can’t participate in Canine Council meetings

- can’t participate in main story quests

- won’t be approved for notoriety, relationship or council rankups

- won’t receive badges for their MSE entries

- can’t participate in the MSE channel activities

In addition players with all inactive character’s won’t be able to bring in new characters until they have at least one canine cleared active.
In order to free a character from Inactive shelter, you’ll need to complete a special task with that character. We are going to post more info on those at the end of the season, after we will see how well you did with the first seasonal check. Even with all characters marked inactive, you can still engage in the chatter on group chat and wait for the time when you feel ready to engage in roleplaying once again. In order to be fully removed from the group, a player has to have all of their characters marked inactive for over a year.  We assume that the upcoming year will include many tweaks to the activity system depending on how it works out and your opinion.

Character creation changes

We’d like to inform you that there will be no future character openings for members… because now you’re able to bring in new characters whenever you want!  

All you need to do is to meet the criteria listed on the website under the “Create a character” >> “Additional characters” tab

September opening

Canidale will be opening for new players twice a year, the first time at the beginning of March and the second at the beginning of September. If you already are a member, make sure to let your friends know, and if you’d like to become one, watch out for an announcement in the next few following days!

Staff changes

~FROM ALBASTER:

The new season also brings big changes to the staff of Canidale. We are saying farewell to Hirv, who did an amazing job bringing this place back up but sadly can't handle managing it anymore. In addition, Ren has decided to finally take a much needed rest and will be on a break until she feels like she is ready to return. She was an amazing aid those past months and thanks to her you've been getting all those wonderful updates right on time! In their places two more admins are being appointed.
Dziunia  , whom you may know from her frequent activity on the group chat. I have to say she truly has a gift for bringing people together. She is an amazing artist and will be managing both websites plus some graphic design for the group from now on. Expect many upcoming meme's and bonding exercises from her side. Let's make the chat burst with life ;) The second person, whom you may know a little less is Fehu   . He is an amazing writer and this wonderful update has been his courtesy just as the many more upcoming ones will be. Expect some great content as the main story unfolds! In addition fehu will be taking on management of the discord server.Together we have been managing a local roleplaying group for over two years now. I can't even express how happy I am now that we will be able to focus our combined skills on leading such a legendary group as Canidale!

MAIN STORY UPDATE 

The Junkyard canines have searched far and wide for Doc, however unfortunately wherever the missing canine has been, it was far from Canidale. There were no fresh traces indicating his recent presence and they were running out of places to check. 

With each passing day they were running out of time and finally as the date of the Canine Council approached they knew that they’d have to face the other factions without the guidance of their leader.

How will the other dogs react to the fact of Doc’s disappearance? Will the Junkyards be able to stand their ground in front of the Council even without their leader? And who was to blame for this troublesome situation? The clues have been gathered - it’s time to assemble them into a whole.

Over the course of next few days, a roleplay session will begin on the Canine-Council discord channel. Everyone who has completed one of the prompts for the previous stage of the main story along with the characters which previously joined Canine Council can participate. The session was planned with a slow pace in mind, to accommodate for players from different time zones and will unravel over the course of next two months. More info will be given at the beginning.

While the Junkyards are still searching for their missing leader, the tension is rising inside the Pet’s faction as well. Their leader didn’t make an appearance at the last Canine Council meeting which alarmed all factions considering the fact that Bane was probably the most responsible dog in the whole Canidale. 

Soon enough the rumors have spread of the old K9 house being a subject of burglary, with the injured handler being stationed at hospital and Bane nowhere to be found. Some may have already started speculating as to what might have happened to the fate of their beloved leader, some even blaming the rampageous junkyards to have taken revenge on Doc's disappearance by trashing the place.

Meanwhile life in Canidale goes on. Factions cannot function without a leader for long and even if the Advisors are trying their best to keep everything in order some Junkyards start making their advances towards the position and collecting allies. The spirit of rivalry grows stronger with every new day with certain individuals trying to usurp their way towards the top.

The situation within Pet's faction is way more timid as the loyal canines refuse to give up faith in their brave leader. Awaiting his safe return they decided to split up some of his tasks between themselves to keep Canidale at peace during the police dog's absence.

Farmstead members are concerned about the wellbeing of their leader, Nutella - yet the work devoted canine dismisses all of the speculations, still working at her post around the farm.

As the first strays got involved into the Search for Doc, a few voices have been raised claiming that they should have a say in terms of Canidale's politics as well. Some wonder, is it even possible to unite the most solitary amongst the factions? 

Prompt 1: Take no prisoners

A burglary has taken place in Canidale. A pretty nasty one. According to the rumors spreading rapidly, the whole place got trashed. And to make matters worse, the assaulted accommodation belongs to no one else than an actual police officer and a handler to famous K-9 Bane!

Struck with worry for your leader's wellbeing you decide to check out yourself the scale of destruction. Perhaps you may even find some clues as to where the canine may have been taken?

Prompt 2: While the cat's away, the mice will play

With or without officer Bane in charge, the crime in Canidale never rests. Someone needs to quickly take over his post before some of the more mischievous individuals notice. There's a table listing out all Bane's patrol locations for the upcoming week that can be seen through a window of the police station if you stand at the right angle. 

What will you do with this knowledge? And even then, how would you get the unruly to behave like Bane did just with his intimidating presence?

Prompt 3: On the run

Rumors say Bane has been investigating a case of missing dogs a few days prior to his disappearance. Perhaps you could get some clues on where to start your search if only you had access to the case acts. Breaking into a police station and turning aways the attention of all those police officers sounds like a mad idea now, doesn’t it?

Additional prompt for available only for Junkyard members, not counted towards the goal:

Strolling through Junkyard you can hear whispers of concerned dogs wondering what is going to happen if their leader doesn't return at all. In order to operate smoothly Junkyard needs someone who will guide its members and resolve conflicts within the faction. It could be anyone, but it could just as well be you. At times like those it may be useful to start collecting allies…

Over the past few weeks we have noticed some questions being repeated so we decided to create a channel containing a selection of those along with some others that came to our mind. Whenever you have a question and you're wondering whether or not it has been asked before - make sure to check #faq channel or FAQ page on our website. The question list is going to be constantly expanded, whenever new questions arise.

Creating the Questions and Answers channel was the first big task for our helper hounds. If you also think they did a great job on this, make sure to give them a few words of praise!

This month our staff expanded by x new members who are going to help us run things smoothly and decrease the waiting time for your characters and levelups to get approved. 

While they're tasked with mostly technical stuff for now, we hope that in the future they will help us bring in new updates as well.

VOUCHING SYSTEM

The vouching rule we had so far was pretty vague as to how and when a player can vouch for a new member so we added a few basic rules to help you with inviting your friends to Canidale. 

There is no limit to how many times someone can vouch for another person. However, the vouching party must be a member of the group for at least one full season and have at least one active character at the time vouching takes place. Each voucher has a month cooldown (cooldowns reset at the first day of each month). Make sure that your friend double and triple checks the application as we will be doing only one review per voucher and if we find any major issues with the app you'll have to wait a month for a next chance at a submission. In order to vouch for some please send us a "Contact the Staff Dogs" ticket.

Please note that it may take staff longer than average to review new player applications outside of the opening period.

RELATIONSHIP AND NOTORIETY SYSTEM ADJUSTMENTS

Thanks to your feedback we have decided to make a few adjustments to the recently implemented notoriety and relationship system changes. 

• Notoriety: The level 1 restriction towards mixed-faction collabs has been removed, and the level 2 perk has been swapped into a new one that will take us a bit longer to implement as we’re still working on the necessary materials

• Relationships: The relationships have been transferred to a point system, where every interaction will grant you a specific number of points towards a relationship goal with a certain character, depending on the amount of players and characters included in a collab/roleplay. Check out the “Council & Notoriety >> Forming Relationships” page on our website to learn more about the new system. Over the next month we will be observing the optimisation of the system to decide whether the numbers/modifiers may need any changes.

LAST MONTH OF THE SEASON AND THE SPOOKY ADVENTURE!

November is the last month of Canidale’s autumn season which means not only is it the last month for you to make all those autumn themed drawings but also a last chance to turn in your Activity Checks! 

You can learn about the requirements for AC’s on our website under the tab “How to join >> Rules” and then submit the form on our discord server in channel “activity-check”.

You can check which characters have already been marked safe in our member table, which can be found both at our website and discord server or under this link: LINK

All characters, including the new member characters are spared from AC’s the season they were created.

All halloween decorations along with a festive mood are staying in Canidale until December, which gives you another month to complete your hauloween prompts or participate in some fun activities on our mse-activities discord channel!
