In order for your character to have an official best friend or enemy, you must have at least 12 relationship points with them.
This also counts for pre-made relationships. If you start out with a premade Best Friend/Enemy relationship, you will still need to obtain 12 relationship points over time in order to be considered canon.
It can be an RP, collaboration, solo literature, or relevant art trade, showing both the characters and an interaction that reaches the group´s canon art requirements. There is no limit on the maximum number of characters and relationships in one drawing.
Each piece featuring your character interacting with another character, be it a player character or an NPC, earns 1 Relationship Point towards your relationship with that character.
Each relationship has its own counting poll, so instead of adding up all points across all your relationships together, you should track them by character. Example:
Relationship with character A: 3 points
Relationship with character B: 12 points
Relationship with character C: 7 points
Upon reaching a certain number of points, your character progresses to the next stage of the relationship. The total amount of accumulated points doesn't decrease after leveling. We advise creating a relationship tracker with links to every submission to keep track of each character's points.
Modifiers:
To reward the pieces that required a bit more effort to create, we are creating point modifiers:
For 2-person RP's and Collabs: 2 points
For Solo pieces featuring any number of characters: 2x points
For 3-person RP's and Collabs: 1,5 points
For 4+ person RP's and Collabs: 1 point

For some dogs, romance can be an important step in their story. Some want to form a family of their own, have a partner for life to spend their days together and have fun, or even just have quick flirts and affairs.
Please note, adolescents cannot be in a romantic relationship or have puppies until they age up to young adults. Moreover, if a relationship is showing signs of abuse, grooming, problematic content, etc., then an admin will intervene.
Mates
Bonded mates are dogs who decided to form a true bond with each other and add a label to their relationship, such as partner, spouse, etc. This is a great deal for dogs and is viewed as equivalent to marriage. However, certain cross-faction mateships are subject to scrutiny, depending on the current faction politics.
Flings
Fling relationships are usually seen as taboo. Dogs that tend to have too many flings are seen as non-committal and disloyal, possibly being the source of some bad rumours. Cross-faction flings tend to be seen with judgmental eyes and can become a scandal. Flings are not mated couples!
To gain a mate and/or have puppies, your characters must complete a certain amount of RPs and Collabs together to show they have a real relationship. This is to ensure characters don’t just meet once before romance happens!
Requirements
At least Friends (6 relationship points) with the characters who will become mates.
At least 2 RPs/Collabs must be depicted as a date. The way it will be interpreted is up to the pair. In order for a piece to be considered a date, it must say it is one in the title or description.
Polyamorous relationships
Like above, you would need 2 date pieces per dog that they are dating. Plus, they must all be friends at minimum. See the examples below!
Example of a triad where everyone is dating:
A x B = 2 pieces
B x C = 2 pieces
A x C = 2 pieces
Example of a triad where A is dating B and C, but B and C are not dating:
A x B = 2 pieces
A x C = 2 pieces
For mates, you must participate in at least 1 RP or Collab where the characters establish that they are going to have puppies! (Do not make this an RP or collab of them physically mating - this should be implied.)
For flings, you must participate in at least 1 RP or Collab where the characters are on a date and spend the night together. (Do not make this an RP or collab of them physically mating - this should be implied.)
All mated couples, including same sex and infertile couples, can opt for a donor or surrogate. The donor/surrogate must be friends with the couple. To have a pregnancy by this method, you must participate in at least 1 RP or Collab where the couple and donor/surrogate have a conversation about planning puppies. (Flings cannot opt for a donor or surrogate.)
How to Register Your Pregnancy?
You should send a ticket via 'Litter Approval' in #file-a-ticket channel with a piece to officiate the pregnancy
Once the ticket has been opened, your Pregnancy Period will begin.
You will have 90 days of the pregnancy to submit Pregnancy Pieces, also known as Litter Proofs, each piece is each 1 pup in your litter.
Litter Sizes
Litter sizes are determined by two factors: the number of pieces submitted during the pregnancy period and the maximum allowed litter size.
For each pup you want to have, 1 Canon Work during the AFAB dog's pregnancy must be done. Meaning 1 canon work = 1 pup.
(The pregnancy announcement piece would NOT count towards a canon litter pup and is purely to announce the pregnancy.)
Pregnancy pieces must feature the parent who is pregnant. They cannot be "off-camera".
The maximum litter size is determined by the following:
For most couples, which are the same size or different by one size (Eg, A Large and an Extra Large Dog), the maximum litter size is 6 puppies
For couples that have a 2-size difference (Eg, A Medium Dog and an Extra Large Dog), the maximum litter size is 4 puppies
For couples with a 3-size difference (a small and an extra large dog), it depends on the AGAB of the dogs involved:
If the AMAB is the small dog, the dogs will be able to have a maximum litter size of 4 puppies
If the AFAB dog is the small dog, the couple will be unable to have a litter without a surrogate or donor.
Dog sizes can be found on the following Chart, following the same as the Aging Chart:
Small: Up to 15"
Medium: 16"-22"
Large: 23"-29"
Extra Large: 30"-45"
Pregnancy Time Period and Cooldown
Pregnancies last up to 90 real-life days, the canon pieces should be done within this period. In case you can't complete any pieces, the pregnancy will be lost/miscarried/a false pregnancy. If you can only finish 1 canon work over those 90 days, you can only have 1 pup.
The piece can be collaborated on between the parents and whoever adopted a pup.
Once the puppies are born in-game, they automatically become 3 months old upon submission. You are welcome to draw or write retrospective pieces of them as newborns, if desired.
After your dog has had a litter, as a mated parent, fling, or surrogate/donor, it'll be in a year long cooldown before it can have another litter.
Fling Litters
Players may only have 1 fling litter once a season.
To have a fling litter, your character must be at least friends (6 relationship points) with the character they want to breed with.
You must provide a description of the 'family' dynamic and relationship between the parents.
Fling (non-mated couples) litters are not allowed to use surrogates/donors.
You must turn in all of your proofs VIA TICKET on our Discord server! Mates, Flings, and Litters must be registered before becoming canon.
