Main Story Unfolds

Dogs of any breed, size, or background are more than welcome to join the council, as long as they are adult-aged and a part of either of the three acknowledged factions.

Pets are usually seen as the upperclass, Farmsteaders are the working class, while Junkyarders are known for being the lowest amongst the packs. All of them deserve a voice despite their different lifestyles. How much their voice is heard depends on how invested they are in the well-being of the Council.

When a dog enters the political system of the community, they are granted a voice to help create new laws and make the lives of many dogs better. Help to govern the community. There are different levels, and they decide on how much your character can affect the council and what kind of power they have.

In order to move a level up, you must submit a ticket with proof of total collected Council Points. Council Points can be achieved by participating in Main Story Chapter prompts (MSCs). For more info, check the most recent Main Story-related DeviantArt journal.

JOINING THE COUNCIL

Being a part of the Canine Council is not just a privilege but also a big responsibility. Not every dog has to be a Council Member.

To join the Council, a dog must meet these three requirements:

  • Be a young adult, minimum.

  •  Be Level 3 Notoriety "Noteworthy" or higher.

  • Be a member of one of the following factions: Pet / Farmstead / Junkyard.

Once a dog meets all those requirements, to join a council, you can simply submit a ticket using the "Joining the Council" button in #file-a-ticket.

COUNCIL MEMBER LEVELS

Community Dog

Level 1

You have finally reached a noteworthy title. Dogs start to recognise you, and you have been welcomed into the council as a community dog. Though you are yet to become a part of the dogs who make the decisions. This is your moment to shine and make an impression. Community dogs are a part of the council to observe and learn. You have yet to be given a voice in the decision-making. This is a process of trust, and to give you an idea of how things are worked through.

Moving up requires

2 Council Points total

Public Servant

 Level 2

Your tryout period is now over. The public servants work towards making Canidale a good place to live. After being introduced to the council, you are given the idea of how everything works. It is expected of one to pick up litter and check on the other dogs' welfare. They are given the spotlight to bring up smaller issues with other dogs around town. The higher-ranked members will deal with them.

Moving up requires

8 Council Points total

Official

 Level 3

Now that you have climbed further up the tree, more tasks are handed to you. Now you are given the responsibility to keep the peace around town. You are now qualified to act professionally in order to stop a conflict. Laws are to be followed by all dogs, so you must keep in mind that any broken law must be brought up to faction leaders and Advisors. Trials will be taken if the situation is beyond a simple pay grade.

Moving up requires

16 Council Points total

Must be Level 5 Notoriety (Renowned/Notorious)

Advisor

Level 4

Finally, you have climbed all the way up. One of the top dogs of Canidale. This is the highest ranking on the council your character can reach. This means they are second in command to their faction. There is more than one dog that can have this level, though the spots are not endless. Anyone can lose their council position if they break the law or commit a crime. Their main work is to make decisions for their factions. However, before settling on anything, they must bring it up to their faction leader.

You still have duties and activities of the ranks below. New unlocked perks are:

  • You are given access to be a part of the trail council. One of the jurors.

  • You can come up with new laws for the Canidale citizens. These laws and concepts must be approved by the faction leaders.

  • You are the collective jury, and the faction leaders are the judges. [All trials should be approved by the admin team as plots before beginning]

  • You can suggest new laws and rules, which will be brought to the Faction Leaders for contemplation.

*Note that all players OOC have a voice; if you don't want to be on the council at all, that is okay. All major changes will be done OOC before being incorporated into the game IC.

Moving up requires

LOCKED

Faction Leader

Level 5

[LOCKED]

Each faction has a leader except for Strays. The leaders are representatives of their faction. Their job is to take into account the voices of their faction to guide and help the town in ways that will be beneficial to each dog. For small or big issues, they act as judges on each official matter. For the entire Canidale issues, they work as one along the council to find solutions.

Others vote on these dogs to help guide them. Any dog, regardless of size, breed, or gender, can become a leader. Everything depends on what they have to offer.

They are the highest-ranking members of Canidale's government. They make the major decisions together and need the approval of all parties. All three need to agree before making a law official.
