We provide lends to businesses in Asia for growth-based activities using revenue and alternative data to underwrite. Small businesses in Asia are highly “bankable” yet over 50% are unable to obtain a loan. The simple reason boils down to economics. We solve this problem by providing an automated digital platform to help business owners finance their growth. Our platform utilizes revenue and alternative data via various data integrations to underwrite businesses quickly. The borrower can choose repayment options that are tied to a percentage of their future sales. We launched in 2019 in Singapore and currently expanding in SEA.

We are starting up a brand new product in fintech. This exciting chance needs an engineer who is familiar with writing Django from scratch to a medium-sized codebase. Understanding the client, borrower and our high-level needs is critical to success. The engineer needs to be comfortable working individually as well as with team members as the project’s scope expands. Strong English communication is required to be able to interface with clients and other teams.

Responsibilities

- Building Django apps for core and custom client integration code paths

- Structuring pytest framework

- Ensuring application architecture’s long-term maintainability

We are prioritizing the candidate in Singapore, India, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh.

Skills

• Deep understanding of Django

• Understanding design tradeoffs for a given architecture and selected py libraries

• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

• Able to integrate multiple data sources, and custom code paths into one system

• Able to work individually and collaboratively as a team

• Strong data modeling, pytest, modular coding, and debugging skills

Experience

• • Has shipped and iterated multiple features

  • 5+ years of experience with Python

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

  • Strong fluency in the English language

• AWS Lambda, SQS, general serverless concepts a plus

CTO

Senior Django Engineer position will have 4 rounds; screening 30min, technical interview 45-60min, take home coding test, and final interview with CTO 60-90min.
