CUE Digital Innovator Portfolio

Mini Bio:

I currently teach in Victorville, CA at Park View Preparatory. It is a public elementary school. I have been in education for 14 years. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th, 8th and K-12 independent study; so all over the place. I have taught 2nd grade for the last 4 years. Next year, I am tentatively scheduled to teach 3rd grade. I have been married for 16 years and have 2 daughters, 8 and 11.

One of my hobbies is playing bass. (in my "free" time.) I play with some other educators in a band called The Standards. We largely do cover songs. We are not too bad for a bunch of teachers. :-) We mostly play for our Opening Day school year kickoff and a few fundraisers.

One of my 'bad' habits is that I am fairly honest about what I thinking and processing in my mind. However, as I've heard, confession is good for the soul, but bad for the reputation. :-) So, I try to be honest, even if I end up looking foolish in the process.

Why the CUEDI? I have been interested in the integration of technology in the classroom for years. So much has changed since I was in my credential program 15 years ago. When I saw this, I thought it was a cool idea. Plus, some of the units will help me move over on the pay scale. :-) But, really, mostly because I am interested in it.
