TEC 901 Module 4- Game Creation

So, I am not entirely sure that this whole lesson can be considered a game. I think it has aspects. At first I was going to use Quizlet to create a set of flashcards. And have students do games on the website to practice. On the site, students can choose a couple ways to test their knowledge about the vocabulary terms. In addition, there is a class game component (Quizlet Live)I have not used yet, but could add a game factor in.

So, to make it a little more interactive, I turned it into a mini hyperdoc lesson using some of the Academic vocabulary students will see on the state test and in content areas. I think it helps bring some of the fun factor to the lesson, while teaching the content. I am sure it could be done better, but I like my result, even if I feel it lacks some game components.

This will help my students have better understanding of vocabulary they will encounter often in their schooling. Not having to struggle with vocabulary, that can be intimidating, will free students up to focus on the academic task.
