TEC 901- Module 1- Philosophical Application

With this lesson, I took a previous lesson I have used where students are doing a science activity. My intial lesson was very teacher input heavy. I tried to move the lesson from primarilly Cognivitistic to a more Constructivist approach. Using the UDL guidelines, I tried to make some of the content more accesible to all students using some voice and choice (Engagement-Recruiting Interest). One way I will do this is by using the internet where my students have access to more info, but also to a text to speech app as well as pictures and videos (UDL- Representation-->Language and symbols) to help students who may be more visual learners (Multiple Intelligences). In addition, because there are some design components, I like to let my students find/make a work area that works best for them, which will help foster some collaboration skills as they work with their team.

I think this would work well as a challenge-based and blended learning style of learning. Though it may need to adjusted to more of a problem to be solved to be more challenge-based. The blended style would work because we are using technology and non-tech options for learning or more for how students will demonstrate their learning.
