My Basic Info

David has over 19 years of experience in education at the Antelope Valley Union HSD in Lancaster, CA. Throughout his career, he has taught a diverse range of courses including English Language Arts, Literacy Support, ELD, AP and IB courses, AVID, and Healthful Living.

For the past eight years, David has served as a full-release teacher induction mentor, providing support and professional development to new educators. He is committed to empowering teachers to succeed and has a particular passion for helping them create effective and engaging lessons. He is also an adjunct lecturer at California State University, Bakersfield, teaching Assessments for Secondary Teachers.

David is a Google for Education Certified Educator and Trainer, and his lesson "Why tragedies are alluring" is featured on the TED-Ed website.

He lives in Lancaster, CA with his wife and two children where he enjoys spending time with his family when not in the classroom.
