Hard to believe I am one class away from finishing but that is the reality! This class has been non-stop busy where we learned so much. We started by discussing constructive criticism. This was important because our classmates had to give us feedback, which was helpful. Once we completed that, we started our design planning! We created learning objectives for our lessons and our class, and our course overviews where our classes were laid out. We discussed learner and non-learner design considerations and how these affect our designs. For example, we discussed issues such as potential learners, technology, and other issues we may confront. We discussed assessments, and explained how we will measure what students learn with formative (during the class) and summative (towards the end) assessments. After that came the design planning. We started by finding good sources that align with our learning objectives for lessons. We created the learning activities and how the students will learn and interact. After this came student-student interactions such as discussions, and how they will help the class. We discussed student-instructor and how a student's success often depends on the teacher. We had an assignment where we needed to evaluate the class with a rubric. This was interesting, grading our work!

While completing the assignments, I asked myself many questions. The obvious one was "is it worth it?" After all, teaching can be difficult. The answer was YES! I really enjoy creating classes, and seeing someone learning makes it worth it. Some of the assignments were confusing at times but once I completed the work, it made sense. I asked myself if I reached my goals, and the answer was yes. My goal was to learn new things and that I did. For example, the design worksheets are new to me, and a bit confusing but once I did them I realized they were helpful. I also had a goal to push myself even more and I did that. I plan to continue using these sheets as I complete the final steps to my project. I wondered what I would have done differently and the answer was do a little bit at a time instead of most of it at the same time. My milestone was to start visualizing the final project and this class allowed me to do so.
