FIFA poster

Description: For this assignment, we were tasked to make a design that worked as an informational poster — starting by removing a subject from its background and placing it in the design. I started by finding this soccer player and designed the poster around it, settling on the theme of a FIFA World Cup poster for one of their initiatives they promote. I liked the colors on the player's jacket and repeated that on the gradient layer to give the image a pop of color to match the bright energy of the sport. I then added in a couple background layers to give the design some depth: a brick wall layer and a soccer tactics board.

I wanted the text to have some life, so I chose to copy the FIFA World Cup font and color and added some text effects to make it pop a bit more.

• Texture layering

• Text effects- drop shadow, outer glow and bevel and emboss

• Brush tool
