Hi, Everyone,
Our Song Lyric challenge was our first order of business and it did not disappoint. The chosen songs spanned several decades, which was great fun as we tried to guess which song spoke to each of us. Many thanks to Becky B for taking pictures and to Trudy for putting them on our guild's website.
We were then treated to some of the work of Lin Bourie, artist and friend of the Mod Squad. Lin creates small art interpretations entitled 'Inklings' based on scriptures. Lin talked about her process, how she finds time to spend at the priory in Petersham, and how peaceful meditation provides inspiration for her art. Thank you, Lin, and welcome back!
We turned our attention to our next challenge and have Cornerstone Collectibles to thank...and Annemarie and Joy as well. Joy had donated a panel of quirky blocks featuring cartoon character Maxine, Annemarie immediately thought of the Mod Squad, and we quickly decided to use 'Maxine' as our inspiration for our January challenge. There are several blocks remaining and Annemarie agreed to be the keeper of the blocks. Please see her if you would like to participate in this challenge.
Our next meeting will be held at the end of January. As soon as I have confirmed the date and time, I will email you.
