The guild meets on the third Sunday of the month, September through May (except December). We also hold an end-of-the-year social in June, on the second Sunday of the month.
The business meeting begins at 2:00 PM. In addition to the brief business meeting, other activities during the meetings can include block swaps, a block of the month, round robins, fabric swaps, quilt challenges, and "show and tell". Occasionally we invite a well-known quilting instructor to give a presentation during a meeting. Meetings typically last one and a half to two hours.
Meeting schedule for 2025 - 2026
We have a new location for our meetings this year. The first meeting of this year will be at the Federated Church of Charton at 64 Main Street in Charlton. Parking is located at the rear of the building, off of Burlingame Road.
Our meeting space opens at 1:45 PM so that you have time to socialize and check out any of the following tables in advance:
Membership Table: Sign in and pick up your door prize ticket; bring your name tag and get a second raffle ticket! Pick up flyers of upcoming quilt shows and events.
Hospitality Table: If you're a new member, or a first time guest, you'll find a friendly person here who will help you to navigate all the guild activities.
Workshop Table: View samples of upcoming workshop projects and/or register for workshops. Many workshops are presented by our guild members for members. The cost is usually minimal.
Cornerstone Collectibles (aka the Pop-Up Store): Get some great bargains on cotton fabric remnants (fat quarters to some yardage). In most meetings, there is also a "silent auction", where you can bid on a variety of quilting tools, supplies, etc.
Special Event Tables: From time to time, there are special events - Fall Retreat, YMCA Children's Gift Program, Challenges, the June social - held by and for members. Look for sign-up tables for these special event tables as you enter the foyer or gym
