Pattern Sloper Workshop Friday June 30th

7PM-9PM

With this workshop, you will learn how to make your very own shirt sloper pattern! You can use this sloper to create dress tops and shirts, and even have a starting point to make your own armor! These slopers will all be different and based on the measurements unique to you!

Be prepared to take your own measurements or have someone help you take your measurements. It will be hard to do over armor and thick clothing, so come prepared to either remove your armor or thick top clothes. Come early if you would like us to help you with it!

You do get to take the pattern home with you! We will be supplying you with a cardboard tube you can use to keep your new sloper crisp without folds or bends!

At 4PM, stop by the booth and lets all do the Chicken Dance!  Be silly, be in costume or not be in costume, HAM IT UP or don't!  Just be you!  This will be going on the instagram.  We want as many cosplayers to join as possible!

Foam Workshop Saturday July 1st

2PM-4PM $5 to cover supplies

This workshop will teach you the foundations of working with foam! Learn how to heat shape foam, and learn what to look for to make sure your foam hasnt gotten too hot and burnt! Learn how to use a wood burner to make inset details in your foam! Learn the best way to use a dremel sander to shape foam!

You will also be making your own set of foam horns! You can pick from the Fairy, Devil, or Spiky horns. The fairy horns are the largest, the devil horns are the next largest, and the spiky horns are the smallest. Please specify your horns in your ticket.

Hiding Faults in Cosplay Saturday July 1st

3PM 

This panel will teach you how to hide some errors you might have when creating your armor or sewing cosplays! Have a weird seam on your armor? Battle damage! Have a weird gap in your helmet? Battle damage! Dress is too tight and wont zip because you made it a size too small? Corset! Find out about these processes and more! 

Altering Patterns for Cosplay Saturday July 1st

4PM

 This panel will teach you how to take commercial patterns and make them fit your body, as well as teach you how to alter something after its already made! Did you buy a cosplay from another country and its WAY too big? Find out how to make it fit YOU! Did you buy a commercial pattern but your measurements are between sizes? Find out how to alter the pattern before you even cut it to make it fit you!

Lights and Motors in Cosplay Panel

3:15PM

This panel will teach you how to add lights and motorize your cosplays! Have you ever wanted your wings to move or your epic battle hammer to light up? Well this is the panel for you! We will show you how to add in LEDs, power them, and where to hide your circuits and boards. We will also discuss how to make moving parts with simple actuators and servos.
