National Careers Week presents an excellent opportunity for Design & Technology students to discover just how far their creative thinking, problem-solving, and making skills can take them—especially in shaping a more sustainable future. WWF’s series of live webinars exemplifies this connection by bringing together leading professionals from diverse sectors, including eco architecture, construction, business, health, and conservation. Over five sessions, each expert will share how they began their journey, what inspires them, and how they integrate sustainability into their work. By hearing these real-world stories, students aged 13–18 can see the direct value of their D&T skillset: from prototyping eco-friendly solutions to pioneering ethical business practices. This focus on sustainable design and innovation not only enriches students’ understanding of potential career pathways but also highlights the powerful role that emerging designers, engineers, and technologists can play in addressing global challenges.
This National Careers Week (3rd - 8th March 2025) join WWF and exciting guests to explore a number of different careers and their links to sustainability.
During these five live webinars students will learn more about different career journeys, how our guests started out and what inspired them, what they do now and how they play their part in creating a sustainable future.
