The Violence Against Women and Children Program is a comprehensive initiative dedicated to addressing and combatting the pervasive issue of gender-based violence. Designed to safeguard the rights and well-being of women and children, this program adopts a multi-faceted approach that includes prevention, protection, and support mechanisms. Key components involve raising awareness about the various forms of violence, providing education on legal rights, establishing safe spaces, and ensuring timely and sensitive interventions for survivors.

The program recognizes the need for a collaborative effort involving government agencies, NGOs, law enforcement, healthcare professionals, and the community at large. It seeks to create a society where women and children can live free from the threat of violence, discrimination, and abuse. By fostering empowerment, education, and advocacy, the Violence Against Women and Children Program strives to create a safer and more equitable environment for vulnerable individuals, promoting a future where every woman and child can live free from the shadows of violence.

           The City Health Department, in partnership with the Department of Education, conducted a series of advocacy campaigns in the different schools in the city. Information, Education and Communication Materials were distributed in these schools as well as the different offices in the different departments.
