PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The National Tuberculosis Control Program (NTP) collaborates extensively with various entities, including local government units, public and private sectors, NGOs, patient groups, and development partners, to combat tuberculosis.
Within the City Health Department, TB diagnostic and treatment services are integrated into the basic health services through the DOTS (Directly Observed Treatment, Short Course) facility. DOTS serves as the primary means for delivering TB treatment services across public and private healthcare facilities, encompassing clinics and hospitals.

The table below enumerates the amenities being offered in the facilities and the corresponding number of TB patient recipients
Additionally, CHD DOTS Facility, in partnership with Philippine Business for Social Progress PBSP), provides free Chest Xray Screening to all patients with TB-like symptoms, household contacts of TB patients, Senior Citizens, and Immuno-compromised individuals.
Active Case Finding (ACF) for TB was conducted in commemoration with World TB Day last March 28 of this year. ACF a conducted among the health care workers of City Health Department. Free chest xray screening was conducted by Divine Rays Laboratory at the CHD grounds.
