Among the comprehensive services offered, a particular emphasis is placed on catering to the needs of pregnant women. The tailored services for pregnant women commence with informative discussions facilitated by Rural Health Midwives and Barangay Health Workers. These discussions cover essential aspects of oral health, emphasizing its significance during pregnancy. Following this, appointments for dental visits are scheduled to ensure timely and personalized care.
During the dental visit, pregnant women undergo a thorough oral examination, enabling the identification of potential issues and the provision of targeted interventions. The program extends beyond clinical examinations, incorporating educational components. Lectures on Oral Health Care are conducted, imparting valuable knowledge on maintaining optimal oral hygiene during pregnancy.
Recognizing the preventive aspect of oral health, the program includes Oral Prophylaxis specifically tailored for pregnant women. This preventive measure is crucial in mitigating potential risks and promoting overall well-being during pregnancy.
To ensure sustained oral health, a structured follow-up plan is implemented, with regular check-ups scheduled every 3 to 6 months. This systematic approach contributes to the ongoing monitoring and management of oral health conditions among pregnant women, aligning with the program's commitment to holistic and enduring care.
The program operates seamlessly throughout the entire year, providing continuous support to pregnant women.
The Oral Health Program extends its reach across six districts, ensuring accessibility and tailored services for the general population. Each district's schedule is strategically planned to accommodate community preferences, offering oral examinations as a diagnostic cornerstone. Educational lectures on oral health care empower the populace with preventive practices, complemented by scheduled oral prophylaxis sessions.
