Question : なぜ第二部は日本語で行われているのですか?

Answer form organizers : 世界各地でdiversityやinclusive research environmentについて議論するイベントは多く企画されていますが、このトピックについて日本語でのパネルを聞いたり、日本語で議論する数学分野のイベントは、これまでほとんどありませんでした。そうした機会を提供したいと思っています。もちろん、日本語話者でない方にもぜひ参加していただきたく思っており、字幕や自動翻訳のアプリの利用など、よりinclusiveな方法を検討中です。良い方法がありましたら、ぜひお知らせください。またブレイクアウトルームは、日本語あるいは英語を登録時に選んでいただくことができます」

Question : Why the second part is done in Japanese?

Answer form organizers : Many events have been organized around the world to discuss diversity and inclusive research environment, but until now there have been very few events in the field of mathematics where you can hear a panel in Japanese or discuss this topic in Japanese. We would like to provide such an opportunity. Of course, we would like non-Japanese speakers to participate and enjoy as well, and we are considering more inclusive methods such as using subtitles or automatic translation applications. If you have a good idea for this, please let us know. You can also choose the language to use in the breakout room from Japanese and English when you register.
