While at GroupM, my role was to assess and evolve the digital media work for Target. This relied on me gaining the trust and understanding of the needs of the Target clients and the Hayworth team.
Target was an advanced client in many ways, already launching Roundel, an early front-runner in the Retail Media space. In other areas, there was work to be done.
I worked closely with top leaders like Kristi Argylan, direct reports on the Target team, and the agency leadership to develop an aligned digital media transformation plan to keep Target ahead of the curve on digital media innovation. This work involved gaining an understanding of current media plans, plan approaches, buying approaches, and measurement capabilities. Operational rigor around each discipline was analyzed, and updated RACI's were developed with buy-in from each leader.
Ultimately, the goal was to understand the team's work relative to the future needs of the account. I was the common digital thread working with and leading the digital media team while we created Team Arrow.
