Business Challenge

In 2019 FordDirect was experiencing significant transformational change. The company was in need of an updated short and long-term strategic framework to provide clarity to and capitalize on business opportunities. One of the most important short-term needs was setting strategic imperatives to align the company around goal-setting. 

Solution

As the SVP of Corporate Strategy, I gathered the leaders from all areas of the company to participate in a strategic imperatives development process. The strategic framework was created with high intensity and a short timeframe to support the alignment of the team and the associated goals supporting the strategy. Once aligned, I worked with Human Resources to infuse the Corporate and Business Strategies into actions (goals and objective setting, ePMO process, marketing applications, etc) even down to programmatic Success Factors to allow for every team member company-wide to input their goals that laddered up to the strategic imperatives. I presented the plan and operational rollout at the company all-hands meeting and within each individual department meeting. 

Results

The following was the feedback from the initiative:
